Chapter 4 Drunken State

  • Reyna point of view
  • It had taken Theo three minutes to get my drunk ass into his Ferrari. He didn’t say a word, not even when I laced my fingers into his hair and yanked it. Why did I do that? I have no idea. His hair just looked so lush and tempting, and I wanted to touch it, and I was also drunk.
  • Theo drove like a maniac, but I could see, even in my drunk state, that he was a master at that. I don’t know if he was ignoring me or concentrating on driving, because anytime I asked him a question he didn’t respond.
  • “Fine!” I said after he ignored my last question. “Ignore me all you want, grumpy. Just tell me you’ve got drinks at home”, I said, and again he ignored me. I sighed, it was frustrating to talk to someone and they just ignored you. For a moment, I considered scaring him for fun, but I realized he was driving and doing that could mean our deaths.
  • “So tell me, do you have a girlfriend?” I asked, but was met with stony silence—again.
  • “Gosh, you’re a dork. So boring, no fun. What year were you born?” I asked. He slammed his foot on the brakes and I looked out the window to see that we were in front of a mansion that looked like Bill Gates lived in it.
  • “This is your house. It’s even bigger than my ex-husband’s”, I said, and he turned. His blue eyes were like springs.
  • “Ex-husband?” He asked and I smiled.
  • “So the cat had given his tongue back, huh? I thought you were ignoring me”, I said, and he shook his head. He stared ahead, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel.
  • “I am not ignoring you. It’s just tactics, it’s best to let a drunk person talk to themselves, they’ll sober up” he stared at me and I chuckled.
  • “I am not drunk” I said, and his lips lifted into a cocky smile. The first time I had seen him smile and, oh my day........he looked so handsome. He couldn’t be real, could he?
  • “Yes you are” he said, and I frowned.
  • “No I am not” I insisted. His blue eyes danced with humor.
  • “You reek of alcohol, you are clearly drunk” he said, and I grinned at him.
  • “Are you going to have sex with me then? I heard sex in the car is a thrilling experience”, I said. He looked off guard for a moment, trying to see if I was serious, and I was.
  • “No” he was smiling fully now, and I was starting to feel weird in my stomach. Like something was flying about in it.
  • “Why?” I asked and he shrugged.
  • “I don’t have sex with drunk girls,” he said. I stared into those sapphire eyes. I couldn’t deny how lost I was in them. I don’t know if it was being drunk that was affecting me or something else, but part of me wanted to let
  • go of Tanner completely even if it meant rolling in the sheets with a stranger.
  • “What if the drunk girl wants you to?” I said, eyeing his lips and he smiled.
  • “She’ll sleep it off because I won’t do that” he said, and I raised a brow......strange.
  • “What if she begs you, begs you like she’s going to die if you don’t do it.” She said and Theo’s eyes darkened with intensity.
  • “That’s different. I........,,”
  • “Please,” I begged. Theo stared at me in surprise. I leaned in till I was a breath away.
  • “Please kiss me, make love to me, do anything you want, I just need to forget. Please, please” I pleaded, with tears, and he sighed. He brushed loose hair from my face. For a person I just met hours ago, it felt like I had known him a long time.
  • “I want to kill the man who broke your heart,” he said. His eyes roamed my face and settled on my lips.
  • “I don’t care about him, I want you to kiss me,” I said. I could literally feel our breath fusing.
  • He brushed his against mine softly, but I wanted more. I dug my fingers into his hair and pulled him closer, deepening the kiss. He tasted like a drug, intoxicating my brain and doing wicked things to my body. His hands found
  • the curve of my butt and squeezed them. I involuntarily let out a moan and pressed into him. I wanted more, I wanted more than just kissing.
  • I reached for his shirt, but he grabbed my hands and stopped me. His hands were as strong as pincers.
  • “That’s enough” he said, his hair was messy where I had dug my fingers into. His eyes were fierce like he was fighting something inside him.
  • “What? Am I not woman enough to make you even want me?” I was offended now and he sighed.
  • “If I give in to what I am feeling, I’ll make love to you all night. I won’t be able to stop” he growled. His eyes burned bright with intensity.
  • “Then do it. It’s what I want”, I pressed my breast into him and he sighed. He pushed open the car door and got out and opened the door on my side. I tried to walk on my own, but my feet wobbled, and I fell hard on the paved ground.
  • “Shit! I am so fucking clumsy. I am so stupid! Stupid” I said, breaking down into a sob. Theo scooped me into his arms and carried me inside. I buried my face in his chest as I let the tears flow, but at the same time I felt so safe in his arms, the feel of his heart beating, his warmth.
  • That was the last thing I remembered before I fell asleep. But the rhythm of his heart kept playing in my dreams.
