Chapter 4 Move in With Me
- The old man looked at his beloved grandson again and said, "Isaac, you must make allowances for Amelia. You're responsible for earning money and taking care of your family. Don't flirt around outside. Then, you'll realize that your wife will become gentler and kinder after some time. She'll understand you better and care for you more. One day, you'll realize you married a treasure."
- "Mm," Isaac answered half-heartedly.
- The old man was displeased and asked sternly, "What kind of an attitude is this?"
- "Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll keep it in mind." Isaac quickly changed his tone to please his grandfather. He said with a smile, "I know what to do."
- The old man revealed a smile again, pleased with his beloved grandson's answer.
- Even if Isaac couldn't do it, Old Mr. Marrow would keep a close eye to ensure Isaac did it!
- When the old man looked at his granddaughter-in-law, he had a kind smile. The more he looked at her, the more he liked her.
- "Amelia, tell me if Isaac mistreats you. I'll take care of him!"
- The girl was too shy to answer. She pursed her lips.
- After that, Old Mr. Marrow said, "Isaac has been smart since he was young. He'll work hard. Perhaps he isn't doing that well now, but he'll take care of his family in the future and love you more."
- "Grandpa." The girl smiled and nodded. "I believe him."
- Isaac's cold yet elegant face showed no joy from getting married. Still, he was relieved when he saw his grandfather in a good state.
- On the contrary, Old Mr. Marrow couldn't restrain the joy in his heart. "Life is short. I'll be old and sickly if I lose my energy."
- The old man let go of their hands and looked at them as they were before his bed. He was gratified and said, "I'm thrilled to see you together. I'm sure I can live for another twenty years! If I'm lucky, I might be able to see your children get married! Quickly give me great-grandchildren! This is my biggest wish."
- Isaac felt highly resistant inwardly, but he gently agreed with Wilfred.
- Amelia was standing on one side and was aware of her boundaries. She had to put Wilfred's mind at ease but couldn't upset Isaac. She was counting on him to save her mom.
- "By the way, Amelia, have you moved in with him?" Old Mr. Marrow asked seriously. He felt it was an important question.
- Isaac immediately answered, "Yes."
- "Alright. That's great." The old man smiled.
- Wilfred's condition improved. The doctor said he could be discharged tomorrow.
- Isaac initially wanted to stay and keep Wilfred company, but Wilfred shooed him away. "It's your wedding night. How can you spend it in the hospital? Don't you know who you should be with?"
- After leading Amelia out of the hospital's lounge, Isaac paused at the stairs. "Your mom will be dropped off downstairs at your rental house. You can go back and wait for her. Also, move in with me as soon as possible. I'm afraid Grandpa will check up on us."
- After that, he walked toward the Lamborghini. He wasn't worried that she wouldn't do it.
- The car had left before Amelia came to her senses.
- As she hailed a cab back to her rental house, she was confident that Isaac had investigated everything about her.
- He even knew where she stayed.
- It wasn't a bad thing. Amelia wouldn't have to summon her courage and be honest with him about her messy home affairs.
- But in front of him, she felt exposed.
- He was so unfathomable. She only knew his name and that he greatly cared for his grandfather.
- It wasn't as simple as owning a house and car and having a steady job.
- He wasn't the boss of some gang, was he?
- The cab arrived. When Amelia exited the car, she saw Juliana carrying her luggage. Juliana's hair was messy, and her forehead was hurt. She looked very miserable.
- "Mom!"
- Amelia immediately ran toward her. "Mom, are you okay?" The mother and daughter hugged each other tightly.
- Amelia took her mother back to her rental house and quickly took out the first aid kit before helping to deal with her mother's forehead injury.
- The calmness in Amelia's voice was beyond her years. "Mom, from today onwards, you'll stay here. In any case, Ronan doesn't know the specific location. Don't worry. Take care of Cayden while he's in school. His senior year is crucial for him."
- "What about you? Where will you stay if we stay here?" Juliana looked at her worriedly. "Your dad received two hundred thousand from them. I'm afraid this matter hasn't ended."
- Amelia had a premonition that the matter was over.
- She took out her marriage certificate. "I have a place to stay. When Ronan made the call last night, I inadvertently overheard, so I got married."
- "What?!" Her mother was startled and quickly looked at the certificate. Her eyes were filled with disbelief. "You did this today? Who did you marry? Who is Isaac Marrow? Is he reliable? You can't simply get married because of this!"
