Chapter 3 Visiting Grandpa at The Hospital

  • The local tyrant had just hit his head. Banking on his second-rate fighting skills, he was instantly enraged. "D*mn it! Do you want to die?!"
  • The local tyrant and his subordinates jumped out of the car and wanted to teach the other party a lesson.
  • But they had just made a move when the other party fought back. The local tyrant was clearly weaker than the other party.
  • Amelia saw that the local tyrant and his subordinates were quickly overpowered as they lay on the floor and covered their stomachs while wailing in pain. They howled and begged for forgiveness.
  • "Ah, please spare us. I'm sorry. Please stop hitting us."
  • The car door was open. Amelia was still frightened as she watched the scene. Her figure froze. Who is this person?
  • Did she escape a mishap only to get trapped in another disaster?
  • "Please exit the vehicle, Mrs. Marrow." A man took off his shades and bowed to her respectfully.
  • Amelia slowly came to her senses. She looked at him, dumbstruck. For a moment, she wondered if she had misheard!
  • The man was gentle. "We came to look for you on Mr. Marrow's orders. We apologize for coming late. We're sorry you were frightened."
  • Amelia came to her senses and got out of the car worriedly. She was skeptical, but she looked at the cars parked nearby. One of them was the car that had left the city hall entrance.
  • Is it really him?
  • Her ears were filled with woeful groans. She glanced at the malicious local tyrant who lay by her feet.
  • "Don't worry, Mrs. Marrow. We will let the police take care of this." The man's tone was respectful. He reached out and pointed. "Mr. Marrow is waiting for you in that car."
  • "Thank you." Amelia was flustered, but she didn't forget her manners.
  • She walked forward and came to the Lamborghini with the open door. She stood by the car door and saw the man's perfect side profile inside the car at one glance.
  • He had appeared just in time.
  • "Who on earth are you?" Amelia asked with wrinkled brows. She didn't know about his identity but felt like he had supernatural abilities.
  • Issac turned. He had handsome features. "I'm your husband." His exquisite eyes were indifferent and distant as he sized her up. "Get in. Come with me to visit Grandpa."
  • "Can you do me another favor?" Amelia stood by the car and met his gaze. She said humbly, "Please save my mom."
  • The girl's eyes were filled with worried tears, but the man didn't take pity on her.
  • "Come and visit Grandpa at the hospital with me first." Isaac lifted his wrist to look at his watch. He had no time to waste. His grandfather had just called to rush him.
  • She knew she had no right to discuss her conditions with him. His good-looking features showed no rage, but his deep eyes kept staring at her. It made Amelia feel cold.
  • She could only get into the car and sit beside him obediently.
  • The car door shut, and the Lamborghini drove to the hospital.
  • He didn't say a word on the way, and she didn't dare to speak either. The atmosphere was subdued.
  • Amelia's mind was filled with worry for her mother. Ronan was prone to domestic violence.
  • When the car was about to arrive, Isaac told her, "Once you make Grandpa happy, I can save your mother."
  • The girl suddenly turned to look at his dignified and handsome side profile.
  • She knew he must have known about her family situation. Otherwise, how would he have appeared in such a timely manner?
  • He was steady yet mysterious. He seemed very mature.
  • "Thank you, Mr. Marrow." Amelia was sincerely thankful.
  • Isaac frowned with displeasure. The girl quickly corrected herself. "Thank you, Isaac."
  • Ten minutes later, in the hospital room.
  • "Grandpa."
  • Amelia was Old Mr. Marrow's preferred choice as his granddaughter-in-law. She appeared with Isaac while hugging his arm, looking like a beautiful couple.
  • Old Mr. Weather, who only had a common cold, sat at the head of the bed and immediately grinned from ear to ear.
  • "This is great! You got together just as I wished you would! Quickly show me your marriage certificate!"
  • "Grandpa, why don't you believe me?" Isaac had a gentle expression. It was as though he were a different person as he obediently showed his grandfather his marriage certificate.
  • Amelia had also brought her copy. She also showed it to Old Mr. Marrow.
  • The old man looked at their marriage certificates. Compared to Wilfred's joy, Isaac seemed very composed. Since he couldn't marry Celine Russett, marrying anyone else was the same.
  • The old man returned their marriage certificates and happily held the young couple's hands. He put Amelia's hand in Isaac's.
  • Isaac instinctively resisted slightly but restrained himself and was forced to hold Amelia's hand tightly.
  • Amelia was slightly nervous. She had never interacted closely with any men and felt a little uneasy. She turned and looked at him shyly.
  • He had ethereal good looks and a quiet disposition. He also felt distant and reserved. He never looked at Amelia. She could only look at his side profile.
  • The warmth of both their palms intertwined.
  • Old Mr. Marrow held both their hands tightly and said earnestly, "Now that you're a married couple, you're a family from now on, and you must help each other."
