Chapter 5 Little Revenge
- Alan
- The meeting on Saturday morning went not just badly, but disgustingly. Dragging a person out of a warm bed was a terrible mistake even for such a serious matter. With new employees come new problems, which have to be dealt with even on weekends.
- The mobile phone rang in my pocket, disrupting the whirlwind of chaotic thoughts in my head.
- "Rinat, did you find out her name?" I immediately started with questions, as personal problems had also joined the business problems due to my own foolishness and inability to control my desires.
- "Alan, you understand that we all have natural needs, and I didn't close my eyes all night, sitting outside that cursed room..."
- "Stop mumbling, just tell me the girl's name and address. She must have told you when you drove her home, right?" I snapped irritably, wanting to quickly shake off the guilt that had been weighing on me all morning.
- "She ran away. While I stepped away for a minute. Then a security guard showed up with a list of escorts who were allowed in last night, and that's how I lost sight of the girl."
- "Are you kidding me? Then find her. How could you not keep track of just one girl? Tell our guys from the special service " let them check the cameras, find her friends, and figure out her address and name.""
- "You suddenly lost your temper and didn't explain anything properly. Maybe you'll finally tell me why this girl interests you so much?"
- " She was a virgin," I said those terrible words and covered my eyes, leaning back in the chair. "There are suspicions that she really was there resting with acquaintances."
- " You seem to be confused, my friend. I asked that redhead, Chris I think, and she confirmed to me the fact that they came to the club to earn money. Furthermore, I paid her in advance, as she said, for "reserving a spot.""
- " Find me that redhead girl as well! Why the hell do they let such people into this filthy club?"
- " Better tell me, why didn't they ask your night girlfriend for her passport when entering the club? You have to be so confident to go to nightclubs without documents?!"
- " She didn't drink. Only the bartender could have asked for documents if he suspected something. But there was no smell of alcohol from that girl. In general, I rely on you. Find that girl and bring her to me. There's no need for a scandal right now, especially when I was just about to announce the engagement."
- " We will handle everything in the best way and bring you that blonde girl soon."
- Chris didn't pick up the phone and I had no idea where to find her. The most reliable option would be to go to this girl's house, as she is probably suffering from a serious hangover, but she wasn't there either. The younger sister of this redhead monster said that the girl went to the mall for shopping.
- The desire for revenge had subsided a bit once I realized that I had no idea how to go about it. I had stormed out of the house in a fit of emotions, but had not thought through how I planned to exact my vendetta. I would have been better off staying at home and getting some more sleep, as my body was aching and sore after the first time.
- Walking past the glass shop windows, I stopped in the middle of the corridor and cursed myself for this foolish impulse. Of course, that girl would get what she deserved, but rash decisions never lead to good outcomes. Just as I turned to leave, a familiar figure entered one of the expensive clothing boutiques. At first, I even thought I was mistaken and that it couldn't be Chris, but upon closer inspection, my assumptions were confirmed. This girl definitely did not have the money to shop in such places, so what was she doing here?
- Sneaking into the store like a mouse, I hid behind one of the shoe racks, peeking out into the room at my target. Christina was calmly browsing through the rows of elite clothing, looking at some options as if she planned on making a purchase.
- "Can I help you, miss?" a female voice asked from behind, and I turned to see the stylishly dressed consultant. Apparently, I had not made the best impression on the staff of this place due to my plain appearance. I had no makeup on, my hair was in a bun, and I was dressed in the most ordinary denim shorts and t"shirt."
- " I don't need any help. Mind your own business, " I said, perhaps a little rudely, but I wanted to get rid of the person who could give away my presence. Christina had disappeared into the fitting room, and I decided to change my location, but once again I was blocked by the same persistent individual.
- " We have a decent store, and if you don't plan on buying anything, I would ask you to..."
- I grabbed the first piece of clothing I saw on the hanger and handed it to the girl. Then I handed her a few bills and said irritably:
- " Ring up the purchase and please, finally leave me alone."
- The girl mechanically smiled and went to the cash register, while I moved behind the shelf of bags and peeked out like a wolf on the hunt, watching my prey. From the fitting room appeared Chris in a gorgeous evening dress, twirling around in front of the mirror. Just look at her! And where are you going looking like that, beauty?
- " Can I help you? " the same question sounded again, and this time I couldn't hold back and snapped irritably:
- " If you want to help get revenge " sure, but I won't be buying clothes here anymore!
- Christina disappeared behind the door again, and in the meantime I turned to the annoying... Damn, this isn't the same woman as before. This time it was a man, quite tall and handsome. I looked around, making sure he was talking to me, and asked:
- " Do you work here?"
- " Yes, in a way. " he smirked, and a charming smile with a bright dimple on his cheek played on his face. " So, what were you saying about revenge?"
- " Well, I... you know... " I started to mumble, and suddenly bent down when I heard the voice of my former friend. The girl shouted from the fitting room, calling the consultant over.
- " I understand that you've been offended by that bright girl over there? " the stranger asked carelessly, and I boiled with anger once again.
- " Offended? Oh no, that's an understatement! " I snorted and peeked out from my hiding spot again. " By her grace, I lost something that was so dear to me, and now my soul thirsts for bloodshed."
- " I see. " he said mockingly, and peeked out from behind the shelf. " You know, you're still too young to think about such things. Revenge is never sweet."
- " Maybe for others, but it will bring me the peace I need to continue living as if everything is fine. Her betrayal is too strong."
- I spoke these words maliciously and with all the rage built up inside me. I don't know why I'm telling all this to a stranger, but perhaps because we have no connection and my sorrow demands to be shared.
- " Do you think it will be sweet? I won't believe it until I know for sure," I said curiously, looking at my mysterious interlocutor. The man beckoned one of the female consultants over and whispered something in her ear. After that, the woman disappeared into the office. "It would be very interesting to know what exactly this girl did besides trying to steal a few pairs of expensive lingerie from the high"end store.
- My mouth fell open in surprise and I stared in delight at the two strong men who took Christina by the arms and dragged her to the door of the office.
- "You have no right! I will complain! Let me go immediately!" the girl shouted until her cries faded behind the locked door.
- "Well, how about that? It's just a little thing, but it must be nice, right?" the stranger smirked boldly, and I couldn't help myself.
- It turned out to be a hundred times better than I had imagined. A cheerful and pure laughter burst from my chest, and tears of joy streamed from my eyes. Of course, it wasn't enough to punish the scoundrel, but it was a good start.
- "This is much better than it could have been! Thank you, mysterious stranger!"
