Chapter 2 Cunning Plan

  • Alan
  • " How do you like the bride? " a voice came from the driver's seat, distracting me from planning a new contract that I had been discussing with Levins all evening.
  • " Ordinary. " I dryly replied, trying to remember the features of the girl who had been praised so much in front of me today, as this old man never advertised his shoddy goods. It's no wonder, because this is nothing but a deal that will be a kind of lifesaver for Philip's business. " It's clear that they value their daughter highly, so for my purposes, this is the perfect option."
  • " You still haven't changed your mind?"
  • My friend sighed heavily and glanced at me through the rearview mirror. He didn't need an answer, because everything was written on my face. My plans for revenge only grew stronger with each passing year, and nothing will now stop the mechanism I have set in motion. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Levins remembers nothing and brightly shines when he meets me, stretching his lips into a disgusting smile. And now, he is happily willing to give his daughter to a man who once severely crippled his life, unaware that he is sending his little blood to her doom.
  • Children are not responsible for the sins of their parents, and no matter how much I try to convince myself of this, I cannot look at this pretty girl without contempt and hatred. I will not harm her, but my reserves of kindness are now depleted.
  • " He has two daughters, right? " I asked, remembering that he was supposed to be presented with a choice of two girls today, but for some reason there was only one.
  • " Yes, two. " Rinat replied, burying his gaze in his tablet. I was handed a device on which a blurry and unclear image of a girl's back was displayed. " This is the only photo we have. I must admit, he is quite careful in hiding his second offspring from society. There can only be two explanations for such behavior: either she is defective, or she is more precious to him than this one. Do you want me to find out more?"
  • " No, it's not necessary. " I handed back the useless piece of metal and leaned my head back on the seat. It doesn't matter which daughter Levin gave away, it will still be his end. " Prepare the papers for the new contract better. Since we are still not connected by family ties, he will carefully check every point, so everything must be as transparent as possible."
  • " Yes, everything will be ready by Monday."
  • The car stopped in the parking lot in front of the nightclub, and at the sight of the bright neon sign in the shape of a crown, the tie around my neck began to feel uncomfortable, making me want to break free. Shedding all responsibility and the wrinkles of leadership with a single movement of my hand, I got out of the car. I needed a break urgently, as I hadn't allowed myself such liberties lately.
  • It was one of the few places where the cream of society gathered to relax. The service was always top"notch, and there were beautiful girls with whom you could pass the time. Anticipating a sweet night, I walked forward down the corridor and unexpectedly ran into an obstacle that definitely shouldn't have been there. A clumsy little girl appeared out of nowhere and spilled her drink on me. The wet stain quickly spread across my clothes, causing me slight confusion, and for the first time in years, my anger was directed at something other than my sworn enemy. The girl raised her frightened gaze to me and pressed her hand to her lips. There was no hint of falsehood or pretense, as is usually possessed by escorts, only regret and fear."
  • " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. " said the seemingly juicy blonde, meeting my gaze. In a short time, I managed to glance at her and assess all the advantages of her gorgeous body, hidden under a shamelessly short dress.
  • " It's all good, Al? " Rinat peeked out from behind and stared at the stain adorning my jacket.
  • Of course, it was a trifle, as I wasn't attached to such things and would easily throw the ruined jacket in the trash, but I liked those huge frightened eyes of the blonde, which made me want to scare her a little more.
  • " No, not everything is fine. " I said, shifting my gaze to the girl. " How will you compensate for the damaged items?"
  • Usually, such girls only have one currency available for dealing with men, so I expected a certain reaction from her. The girl changed before my eyes. The frightened deer disappeared, and in its place appeared a real tigress, who looked at her prey fiercely and confidently, knowing that the odds were in her favor. The blonde with a self"assured expression on her face took out her wallet and counted out several bills. Her delicate fingers slid into the upper pocket of my jacket, and a smug smile stretched across her face."
  • " Around the corner of this building, they wash clothes so well that there won't be a trace left. Here is enough money, and keep the change for yourself!"
  • Turning on her heels, this daring little girl strutted away. The desire to catch up with her and put her in her place was burning, but I quickly suppressed it.
  • " Did you seriously stay silent? " Rinat was surprised, just like me, as we both watched the girl walk away. I took out the money from my pocket and with a smile on my face noted that it was a decent amount. Surely this girl had given him a good portion of her earnings for a couple of weeks. " I recognize that look, Al. Do you want me to make a deal?"
  • " If you don't mind. " I replied, tightly gripping the money in my hand. " We need to return the money to this girl and maybe even give her a little extra for her boldness."
  • Rinat smiled in response to my words and headed towards the group where the blonde had just been standing. The redhead girl happily responded to my friend's advances and after a couple of minutes was already laughing cheerfully at another joke made by the man to charm her. I watched everything from the side, slowly sipping my whiskey. The club was not very crowded tonight and I didn't see any familiar faces, although there were a few well"known personalities present, such as the news anchor " Tikhonov, who was looking around intently. It was clear that the man had not come here to relax, but to catch another golden fish. It wouldn't be lucky for whoever became his sensation today and the victim of the next hot gossip.
  • " Meet me in the second room in half an hour. " Rinat said, joining me at the table for a drink.
  • " Great. What will you be doing in the meantime?"
  • " I want to approach a group of girls. I liked that cute brunette over there. " My friend pointed in the direction of three slender girls near the bar.
  • " In that case, keep an eye on Tikhonov. I wouldn't want to end up in the crosshairs of his camera, carefully hidden under that lace collar."
  • " Of course. It's nice to relax."
