Chapter 160 A Car Accident
- As they were on their way back, Paige was still dressed in Bradley’s white shirt; she looked especially tiny and adorable as her slim figure was covered by the large shirt. Her blushing, pink cheeks exposed how nervous she felt at that very moment, and her timidity made her seem more endearing than ever. Bradley found himself dazed by her beauty, so he quickly changed the topic before anything else could happen. “Did you have any combat or martial arts training in the past? You seem to have pretty good skills.”
- Without actually answering his question, Paige responded, “Do you like such strong and powerful girls? I learned it all from my dad; he’s a huge fan of wushu.” Bradley took this opportunity to pull his hand away from her. “What a coincidence—I like wushu as well. Perhaps I could meet your father for a meal someday.” Bradley wanted to get closer to her father, Eric Walton, because he had control over the piece of land in the Western suburbs. All Bradley wanted to do right then was to use his relationship with Paige to get him closer to Eric; only then could he achieve his goals in a genuine, legitimate manner.
- “I think my father would really enjoy your company. I’ll make sure to arrange for you guys to meet someday,” Paige uttered after hearing what he said. Right as she finished her sentence, she stepped on the gas and the car sped across the bumpy roads before arriving at the city an hour later. By then, it was peak hour in the evening and traffic was congested everywhere they went.
