Chapter 157 A Cat and Mouse Chase
- All the other villagers who had kept a distance from the house immediately ran for their lives once they saw the metal pole flying toward their direction. Paige stared at the long metal pole with a look of disbelief in her eyes—she was shocked to see how high it went after Bradley kicked it. Red immediately took this opportunity to pick yet another one of the metal poles beside him before taking a strike at Bradley’s head. However, Bradley turned around just in time to clasp his hand around Red’s neck before giving him a kick that sent him flying. Red’s body fell right on top of Oscar’s.
- Annoyed, Oscar quickly shoved Red off as he cursed and said, “You useless b*stard! All you do is embarrass me.” With that, Oscar stood up and began to engage in combat with Bradley. Yet, Bradley seemed to successfully dodge every single attack that was sent his way. Oscar was panting and exhausted after a few attacks, but Bradley was in perfect condition as he nimbly avoided each blow. The latter refused to launch any attacks when fighting against someone like Oscar, and he preferred to drag the fight out so that Oscar would be completely worn out by the end. Bradley let out a slight smirk at the thought of this, and Oscar was quick to realize what was going on. If I continue fighting like this, I’m going to be exhausted in no time. As long as he doesn’t launch any attacks, I won’t be able to spot his weaknesses and target them!
- Therefore, Oscar decided to use a more provocative method instead. “Your helpers are pretty useless, Nolan! This guy doesn’t even dare to attack me!” After saying that, he shoved Nolan aside in an attempt to infuriate Bradley. The old man lost his balance after being shoved and promptly fell onto the ground. He tried his best to pull himself back up, but all his injuries were hurting him; he simply couldn’t stand up even after a few tries.
