Chapter 7 Life-Saving Grace
- After pricking in the silver needle, Jonah took out the small dagger that he carried with him, cut the old man's thumb and the thick black blood gushed out quickly.
- "Hey! What are you doing? Why are you hurting my grandfather? Stop it!"
- After seeing it, Jesalynn was about to step forward to stop him. Doctors or specialists in the hospital would never treat patients like this.
- It must be a plot to murder grandfather, she must be the bad guy sent by the competitor!
- "Stay quietly if you don't want your grandfather to die!"
- Jonah pushed the lady away and glared at her fiercely. He hated to be disturbed when he was treating his patient.
- "You…"
- Jesalynn was angry, but when she saw Jonah's cold and murderous eyes, she immediately kept quiet.
- After cutting ten fingers in a row, Jonah did not stop. He held the old man's hands and squeezed out the blood. In just three to four minutes, the ground was bloody.
- The old man's complexion gradually recovered, and his breathing stabilized.
- "My grandfather……"
- As it concerned the lives of her family, Jesalynn could not help but move closer again. Although grandfather seemed to be getting better, he was not waking up.
- "How noisy!"
- Who knew Jonah turned around and glared again. Jesalynn pursed her lips angrily.
- Jonah laid on the ground as if no one was around, gently twisting the silver needle with one hand and putting his ear to the heart of the old man. He suddenly shouted.
- "Get up!"
- Jonah pulled up the silver needle at the same time.
- "Uh… I fell ill again."
- A magical scene appeared. With the silver needle pulled out, the old man opened his eyes. Although he sounded weak and tired, his pronunciation was clear.
- "Sir, I'd cut back on greasy food from now on. If you keep this up, you'd definitely be in serious danger."
- Jonah wasn't surprised at all. While advising the old man, he twisted the cleaned silver needle a few times, and it turned back into a ring again.
- Jesalynn was stunned.
- "Sir, thanks for saving my life."
- "Sir, what's your name?" Denton sat up slowly and looked at Jonah with a smile.
- "Jonah." Jonah left his name. "It's nothing, you don't need to thank me. I have something else to do, I will leave first."
- After saying that, Jonah left despite them trying to stop him. He still needed to find Diana. If he couldn't find her at home, then he would find her at the hospital.
- "Jonah, what a good name."
- Denton muttered to himself and stood up with the help of Jessalynn. "Jesalynn, I want to know all his information before dinner. Life-saving grace must be repaid."
- "Okay."
- Jesalynn pulled back her thoughts and responded.
- "Let's go back too."
- The grandfather and granddaughter slowly walk back to the villa next to Skyland District.
- ……
- Jonah finally got to stop a taxi, and just right after he mentioned going to the hospital, he received a call from his mother, Susan.
- "Hello, mom, what's wrong? You don't have to wait for me for lunch..." It was almost noon. Jonah thought his mom was urging him to go home for lunch.
- "Jonah, are you free now?"
- "I am sending lunch for your dad, if you are not far away, hurry up and go to the school. Casey is fighting with other children in the kindergarten and it seems to be serious. The teacher asked the parents to head there immediately, but I can't get away now." Susan's voice from the phone sounded nervous.
- "Fighting?"
- Jonah frowned, thinking that it was normal for kindergarten children to quarrel. Why did they call the parents? However, considering Casey's health, Jonah still agreed to go.
- "Mom, don't worry, I am not far away from Casey's school. I will head there right away. I'll call you back after I am done."
- After hanging up the phone, Jonah asked the driver to change the route to Bright Minds Kindergarten.
- Ms. Avery's office was extremely noisy and tense.
- "Where are the parents of this little b*stard? Why are they not here yet? How dare they hit my son! They have a death wish!"
- Bruce, with his beer belly, pointed at Casey, who was hiding in Sarah's arms.
- At this moment, there was already a blood-red palm print on Casey's face, and he was crying.
- "I didn't hit him. He wanted to snatch my toy, but I didn't let him, so he fell onto the ground himself." Casey defended himself unbendingly. He didn't hit anybody.
