Chapter 9 I'm Sorry, Boss!
- Jonah ignored his taunt, just silence in his piercing gaze.
- With no children present, he could seek revenge unrestrained!
- "I hit him with my right hand, what will you do…"
- Bruce refused to back down and raised his fist towards Jonah's face.
- "Your right hand, eh? Very well!"
- As he watched the fist come towards him, Jonah suddenly smiled creepily. When it was just five inches away from him, he grabbed Bruce's wrist with one hand.
- Bruce's expression changed suddenly. He felt as if an iron clamp had caught him, and he couldn't move at all.
- "This hand of yours is mine now!"
- Jonah moved.
- Gripping Bruce's wrist with his left hand, he reached out his right hand with his fingers shaped like a claw and pressed down hard!
- "Crack!"
- A sharp sound of bones breaking echoed through the room. Bruce let out a loud scream and fell to his knees, begging for mercy.
- "Ouch, ouch! Let go, please… I'm sorry…"
- "You're sorry? Well, too late!"
- A cold glare flashed in Jonah's eyes as he twisted Bruce's fingers around three times until they dropped limply, even the best orthopedic doctor wouldn't be able to fix them now.
- "What are you doing? Casey already hit someone now, are you going to resort to violence too?"
- Avery intervened as she declared her loyalty to Bruce.
- "I can call the police at any second now!"
- Jonah released his grip, not because he feared Avery's threat, but because Bruce's hand was already broken beyond repair.
- "No need to call the police!"
- Bruce hurriedly stopped Avery from making the call and turned to glare at Jonah furiously, "You've got some skills, rascal. No wonder you're so brazen."
- "I dare you to give me ten minutes. If I don't kill you in ten minutes, I'll eat my shoes!"
- "Ten minutes?"
- Jonah shook his head and said, "You can call whoever you want, I'll be right here waiting for you."
- "You've got guts! Just you wait until I end you!"
- Bruce pulled out his phone and started to call people over, while Avery asked nervously beside him, "Mr. Bruce, are we really not calling the police?"
- "Call the police? Hmph!"
- Bruce scoffed and said, "If I can't even handle something as trivial as this, then I might as well lose my title."
- After that, he continued to make another call.
- Ten minutes passed quickly. It was just two cigarettes' worth of time.
- "Bang!"
- The principal's office door was kicked open violently from outside as footsteps hurriedly approached. A thin man who led the group walked in with a cigarette hanging from his mouth.
- "Kuro, you're finally here. I was beaten up today, you see. Look at my hand…"
- Bruce quickly rushed over, pulled out a cigarette box with one hand and handed them out one by one. When he noticed that there were several more people waiting outside, he was reassured that Jonah would not have it easy now!
- I must make sure to crush him today!
- Kuro frowned as he thought how coincidental it was that he had almost been beaten up himself—not just beaten up, but nearly ended his life.
- "Who? Who dared bully my friend..."?
- "It was this country bumpkin!"
- Bruce pointed towards Jonah, who was sitting on the chair.
- "Thud!"
- Looking towards where Bruce pointed, Kuro's knees buckled as he fell straight down before Jonah.
- "Kuro, what are you doing?"
- Puzzled, Bruce reached out to pull Kuro up.
- "Aren't you going to get on your knees and apologize?"
- Kuro gritted his teeth as fear ran through him. Had he known that it was this devil that was here, he wouldn't have come over no matter what. After Jonah left today, more than ten of his men at the Dragon Glory Club were sent to the hospital for treatment.
- Not to say that even his backing, Joel, had died on the spot!
- "Kuro…"
- A flicker of fear crossed Bruce's eyes.
- "Smack!"
- Kuro slapped hard across Bruce's face. "Everyone on your knees now!"
- With a wave of his hand, over 20 skilled men stationed both inside and outside of the office knelt on the ground together with Kuro as sweat poured down his forehead.
- "I'm sorry, Boss!"
- Kuro bowed with his head low.
- Boss?
- A chill ran down Bruce's spine as a realization struck—he messed with the wrong person.
- "Kuro, he hit my nephew, and she wants to expel him. What do you think we should do?"
- Jonah hadn't expected it to be such a coincidence either. He had just left the Dragon Glory Club, and Kuro had already come looking for him again. But he was quite satisfied with Kuro's attitude, nonetheless.
