Chapter 5 Fated Encounter

  • Jonah's heart broke hearing it, and he wanted to give himself two big slaps. He did not dare to let his mother see the tears swirling in his eyes, so he lowered his head and mumbled, "Mom, I have money. Completing sewing jobs in jail could earn up to 800 dollars per month. Don't worry, I won't starve myself. I'll head out first." After saying it, Jonah ran out of the door as if he were finding an escape. He wanted to go to Dania first, but, thinking that the loan sharks were troublesome and his parents were ordinary people who could not take anymore suffering in life, he decided to go to Kuro first.
  • Kuro, who was known as Kuro Smith to everyone, owned the Dragon Glory Club, which had more than thousands of underlings. It was among the top three powerhouses in Bliss City, which stepped foot in the entertainment sectors, casinos, underground fight clubs, and also loan sharks. Dania was the one who told him all of these, as her family was rich and they had wider connections that brought them more information. Three years ago, Jonah did not dare to offend them. Three years later, they were nothing to him, because he was the Prison King.
  • In the past three years, Jonah seemed to be doing his sentence in The Third Jail. But in reality, he was monitoring the jail on behalf of his master. He was using the prisoners as his targets for training, injuring them and then treating them, where he was able to maximize practicing both medical and martial arts skills. The Third Jail seemed to be ordinary, but it was not. There were lunatics who slaughtered men, mafia bosses, powerhouses, powerful martial arts practitioners, war criminals, and even foreign drug dealers. He who stood above all of them would not be scared of nobody like Kuro. Hence, when he was at the headquarters of Dragon Glory Club, he only said six words, "Get Kuro Smith to show himself."
  • "You brat! You really dare to come?" Hearing some noises, Henry brought his men with him. He smiled eerily when he saw Jonah. "Boys! Take your weapons and kill him!" Henry just reported to his boss and was about to bring a team to get his revenge. Ever since he worked for Kuro, he had never experienced defeat. Who dares to go against Kuro in Bliss City?
  • Upon his command, twenty men came out all at once. They were in black singlets, holding steel-made long knives as they surrounded Jonah.
  • "I said, get Kuro Smith to show himself!" Jonah put his hands on his back and looked cold.
  • "Kill him!" Henry commanded, and he swung his knife toward him.
  • "You trash!" Jonah curled his lips in disdain. Looking at the long knife coming at him, he exhaled some cold air, and the mana inside him seemed to sense his mood as they were getting restless! He was stable like a mountain, but powerful like thunder!
  • Boom! In a flash, he approached each of them, and moved smoothly in between them, throwing his punches, and everyone was sent flying like leaves! He used less than three minutes to deal with twenty people.
  • Jonah lit a cigarette after beating all of them. Suddenly, there were clapping sounds coming from the entrance. A tall and slender man slowly walked out. "Dude, you've got good fighting skills. I'll pay you a yearly one million. Come and work for me, what do you say?" Kuro squinted his eyes and said with a smile. He was someone who appreciated strong people.
  • For example, his ordinary butler, Zoel Zink, who stood by him. The other only knew Zoel as his butler, not knowing he was Kuro's best support! Zoel was a master cultivator! In Bliss City, Zoel's strength was among the top five. In recent years, Kuro had been training with Zoel, and he slowly developed some mana. So he knew how powerful these practitioners were!
  • "Working for you?" Jonah sneered with his eyebrow raised, "Are you worthy?"
  • "Dude, know your place." Kuro's face darkened. "Do you think you're at the top of the world with your ability? I do admire you."
  • "Do I need your admiration? Who are you?" Jonah did not want to chitchat. All he wanted was to beat people up, and he did not mind killing people. Just because he was part of Bonafide.
  • "Zoel, kill him!" Kuro stopped looking at Jonah, and he turned to Butler to give him an order.
  • "Yes." Zoel looked ordinary, but when his mana was flowing out, his short and fat body seemed to expand. He slowly took a step, but in an instant he was right in front of Jonah. He aimed straight for Jonah's throat to strangle him!
