• That morning, Vivian stood in line at the bank with trembling hands. She glanced at the ten-million-dollar check Gaston had given her the night before, lying in her bag. Her heart raced, and anxiety clouded her mind. "What if this check is fake? What will happen next?" she thought, worried. She tried to calm herself, but the nervousness was hard to shake off.
