Chapter 21 Hard To Believe

• Vivian paced back and forth in their modest yet cozy living room. The dim lights illuminated the space, creating a somewhat gloomy atmosphere. The walls were adorned with photos of their happy moments together, but tonight, the mood was far from joyful. With each passing second, the anxiety in her heart grew stronger.
• "Oh my God!" Vivian shouted, her voice echoing through the house. "Where the hell is that fool?" She glanced at the wall clock, which read eleven o'clock at night. Her face started to pale, and her breath felt heavy. Gaston, her husband, still hadn't returned.
• She had tried reaching out to a few friends, hoping one of them had seen Gaston. But all the responses only heightened her unease. None of them knew where her husband was. Vivian shook her head, trying to brush away the dark thoughts that were beginning to gnaw at her.
