Chapter 19 You've Been Fooled

• As the hood over Gaston's head was removed, he was blinded by bright light. Earlier, he had been dragged into a car and taken to an unfamiliar place. Now, he found himself in a room resembling a warehouse—dark, cold, and musty. The sound of the door slamming shut startled him, and Samuel appeared, radiating anger.
• "Wake up!" Samuel shouted, his face twisted with rage. He grabbed a bucket of cold water and splashed its contents onto Gaston's face. The water soaked him, and Gaston, initially startled, couldn't help but laugh. With his battered and wet appearance, he looked like a ragged chicken prepared for sale.
• "Bastard!" Samuel growled, furious at Gaston's reaction. "I thought you were so powerful that you could talk big in front of me earlier!"
