• “Not again!” Kara's heart pounded as she took in the disarray of her living room. The scattered belongings and overturned furniture sent shivers down her spine, and a sudden fear gripped her. Was the masked man from yesterday back?
• Hesitating at the doorstep, Kara took a deep breath, mustering the courage to step fully inside. As she moved towards her room, the sight inside was equally chaotic. Her bed was unmade, the wardrobe wide open with some of her clothes on the floor. Panic surged, but she knew she needed help. Pulling out her phone, she dialed 911, quickly informing them of the unsettling situation.
• Soon, two uniformed cops arrived, their stern expressions conveying a sense of confusion as they inspected the scene. They questioned Kara, trying to piece together the puzzle of the intrusion. Kara explained that, as far as she could tell, nothing significant seemed to be missing, leaving the officers perplexed.
