Chapter 21 Twenty One The Cold Professor

• Cammila tried to keep her promise to Jefferson to talk to Shane. After leaving Jefferson's house, Cammila went to campus because she thought Shane would be there. But when she arrived at his office, Shane wasn't there. Cammila then went home and hoped to find Shane alone in his study, but again she failed. Shane wasn't home. The house was still the same as the last time she left it before going to the hospital to visit Avery.
• As day turned to night, Cammila became increasingly worried because there was not a single call or incoming message from Shane. Cammila waited in the living room anxiously. At nine p.m, Shane had not yet come home. Cammila decided to look for Shane at several clubs around Boston. He probably decided to go to the club and have fun with the bitches. Or Shane might take out his anger on booze. She once saw Shane half drunk in his mini bar.
• “Where are you, Shane?” Cammila clutched her cell phone in frustration.
