Chapter 27 A Target
- Lily stormed into her room, slamming the door so hard it rattled in its frame. Her entire body shook with fury as she thought about Aurora’s words, echoing over and over in her mind. How dare she? How dare Aurora stand up to her like that, speaking to her as if she were nothing? As if she—Lily, the most trusted and loyal of Damian’s companions—could simply be replaced!
- With a frustrated cry, Lily grabbed a delicate vase from her bedside table and hurled it across the room. It shattered against the wall, scattering pieces of porcelain all over the floor.
