- Damian slowly got up from his chair, letting go of Aurora's hand. He felt angry, regretful, and desperate. He needed to think and couldn’t stay there forever, even though he wanted to. He had to make plans for when Aurora woke up if she woke up.
- He quietly left the hospital room, his mind racing as he walked down the empty halls. He felt very alone, and guilt weighed heavily on him. It was his fault that Aurora was in a coma because of what he did. He clenched his fists as he reached the elevator, slamming the button to go down to the parking garage. His heart raced with anger as he walked away from her bedside. He hated himself for letting things get this bad.
- When the elevator arrived, he stepped out and headed to his car, hardly noticing anything around him as he drove home. His house, which used to feel safe and comforting, now felt empty and cold. He thought he could control everything, but he was wrong.
