Chapter 68
- It was over, she hadn't been able to tell him the truth, this had been her last chance, now it was all over, she was going to live a lie. Her whole life would be a lie and she might never be able to tell him her biggest secret. The thought alone caused a shudder down her spine, All his life he hated deceivers, he had closed up his heart, afraid that it would be broken and she just couldn't be the one to cause him all that pain over again. It was like life was making a mockery of her. Day and night she had hoped to hear such words from him, but she never did and finally he said it all, his words were filled with so much emotion that they had piereced right into her heart, she wanted to hear it over and over again, but his words had also weakened her, she had finally made up her mind that she would be telling him the truth and she couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself. How could she tell him that she was no better than Debby he fell in love with, that she too had decieved him all this years, she just wasn't capable of hurting him, not now that he finally let her in, not now that she finally found what she had been looking for all this years, she had felt so alone till she met him, her other half, she was willing to start a family with him, she was willing to make this work and for the first time since she married him, she wouldn't have to do it all on her own. He was right beside her, he wanted things to work too.
- "Thank you", Amelia said to Xavier who was lying beside her on the hospital bed which wasn't large but she didn't mind that she was flushed against him, spending to much time alone, she learnt to value times like this.
- "For what?" he asked confused.
