• “Can you tell her to come and talk to us?” Alder asked and Cindy nodded before she had gone quiet again. The others let her talk to her mother, hoping they would be able to get more information about their enemy. Lorena still had reservations but hoped that everything was real. She didn’t want to disappoint her niece when everything turned out to be a fluke. She was sure that the pain it would give her would be unbearable.
• She knew how much her niece missed her mother, especially when she remembered nothing about her except for the fact that her dad told her not to get mad at Isabel. They waited until Cindy looked at them. “She can’t right now. She said that in the meantime, she had to leave to check on something. Once she is sure about that, she will be back and meet us in person.”
