• Alder’s POV
• I had a feeling that Cindy was hiding something from me, but I could see that she was debating with herself whether she would tell me it or not. That’s why I always wanted to be with her, since I knew that if I did that, she might be able to open up and tell me whatever it was that’s bothering me. The next morning after she marked me, when we were busy with the celebration, I felt that something was bothering her. It was an instant because I still felt how happy she was, then suddenly she became uneasy.
• Trying to hide my worry was extremely difficult. After we marked each other, we could easily tell how we are with each other without asking. Since I already know that I could try to hide my emotions, unlike her. She’s new to our kind and how we really are. During my regular meeting with my beta and gamma as well as the head of the patrol guards, I could feel her being worried then angry. So, I had to excuse myself after she answered me through our link about where she was. There I found Vlad talking to her. I went back to my meeting and told Lance to shoo that idiot away from my mate. He wanted to be with his mate already, so I know that he was angry at Vlad as well.
