• Charles's POV
• My mate was previously abused by her ex-boyfriend. I already see myself wooing her forever. I didn't want her to feel or remember that anymore, so I made a promise that I was going to do everything I could just to make her happy. Without her knowing, she was sitting on the gamma's floor and my room was next to hers. She's a human, so she never smelled my scent whenever I was there.
• Our queen was the main reason why she was here, so I owe everything to her as well. I am going to ensure her safety and her being my mate's best friend. I will be able to protect them at the same time. I was thankful to the moon goddess that she gave me a very submissive mate. No offense meant, but I don't know how I am able to handle her if she was like Queen Clover. Even Alder was having a hard time making her submit to him.
