Emily's POV
To her the best way to keep people in check was to ensure they fear you from the depth of their heart. In the whole pack no one dared to challenge her authority, not even my father the alpha. Susanna has succeeded in charming my father with her beauty to listen to her, right now she's the one in control of the entire pack. I was determined to bring her down if that's the last thing I do, no matter what it takes and make sure Alpha Calvin assumes the throne, he might not be loyal to me but one thing's for sure, he cares about his pack and is willing to do anything for them.
Being his mate I was determined to get him out of this place no matter what it took for me to get him out. I came to see how badly he was hurt to know how the plan we had prepared would work out. Seeing the guard approaching I pulled my companion and left before he got closer.
