• “Mister, you're gonna pay a fine of a thousand dollars for disrespect and assault before you leave here.” The COP stood up, tendering a fierce glance at dad. He was so serious this time around, dad was going to react but seeing the officer who has been trying to keep his temper under check and maintain a professional attitude angry, he kept quiet. For a moment, he realized he wasn't the one with a bad temperament.
• “Please sir, can we resolve this!” Sierra stood up, trying to persuade the officer to let go of his emotions so the case could run smoothly. “I'm yet to pick up my kids at the care center. I have to go there soon.” Her voice cracked and it sounded like she was gonna cry.
