Chapter 2

  • Emily's POV
  • I grabbed her neck only to have Leo tank me away from her, pushing me that I clashed on the wall and fell to the floor. My back hurt so badly. He stepped forward to me and gave me a series of punches, it was the hardest beating of my life. Worst was that it was coming from the man I loved so much, the man I gave my entire savings to and who promised to wait for me. I couldn't believe he was standing with his new mate to beat me up.
  • I managed to rise from the ground even when my body was so weak and my wolf had gone unconscious out of this heartbreak.
  • “I need to show them what type of a girl I am!” I growled inside of me and with the last energy in me, I somersaulted and hit both of them so hard that they fell, crashing to the floor. With the dim light in the room, I sighted the golden card I'd given to him. It was right there on top of the purse on the table.
  • I stood still.
  • “Did he plan to give my money to this girl?” I turned to look at him in surprise but a voice told me to pick up the card and leave right away. I had to heed to it. From his apartment, I tore a quick race to the pack estate where I managed to sneak in straight to my room.
  • My room was turbulent as expected, I couldn't sleep. I couldn't wait for morning to come so I'll leave for England. My heartbreak was climbing up to my head that I feared I would spill out my emotions, my dad knowing this would be the worst thing to ever happen to me.
  • Luckily, I got past this.
  • When I arrived in Oxford, I was still saddened with the betrayal of my mate that I just packed into my hostel and set out immediately with the mindset of getting into a club house and having fun, at least drinking and partying along with strangers. I couldn't let myself suffer this much at the new life I've come here to have.
  • I trod along the concrete path of the university, it was a few minutes past seven. I met some seniors who were pulling things in order for the induction party for freshers.
  • “Hello,” I got their attention. They turned over to me.
  • “What's up, fresher.” One of the four girls who stood here said to me. I summoned courage and spoke up my mind.
  • “I'm sorry, can I find the location of a night club around campus?”
  • “Huh?” They gasped, turned to look at each other and then back to me. Merely seeing their faces, I knew what they thought. They must be wondering if I began my life here as a fresher by going to clubs but they didn't know the turmoil that was going on right inside of me at the moment. I needed to release my tension.
  • They stared at me for a while, probably because they realized we are all adults and I could do whatever I wanted even though I was a freshman.
  • “Lorenzo Clubhouse, along Dowell Street. It's across the campus main gate. Walk through this path.”
  • “Oh, thanks so much.” As I was about walking off, a question struck my mind. I paused. “Sorry, please when does the gate close?” This was a new place and they probably had their rules being one of the best universities in the world.
  • “Students are denied entrance from twelve midnight.”
  • “I should be back by then.” I peered into my digital watch and ran off.
  • Just as they directed, I was able to locate the clubhouse. I paid my entrance fee at the door and walked right in, there were few empty seats close to the bartender. I sat right there.
  • “One shot of whiskey.” I ordered. While I drank a series of shots, I watched them dancing, men with women, romantically clinging to each other. My thoughts drifted back to Leo and the strange girl I saw him with. For a moment, I wasn't myself, not until I felt a tap on my shoulders which got me jerking up and sitting up straight.
  • Before me stood a tall, charming and muscular young man, supposed to be older than me. He had emerald green eyes and black spiky hair. The first three buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned and I could see his hard chest. My eyes returned back to his eyes, I was lost in his charming gaze.
  • “What's up, pretty girl?”
  • “Why are you alone?”
  • Even before he began talking to me, my mind had begun thinking dirty thoughts about him. “After all, I'm alone!” I told myself in justification.
  • “Yeah—hhh.”
  • I stammered upon returning to my senses. His eyes looked so charming that I couldn't look at him directly, my eyes began to roam his body instead. His pants were fitting which portrayed his athletic build.
  • “Gosh! This is the type of man I want for myself.”
  • “Really? I'm all yours. I can see you're alone.”
  • “Huh?” I gasped upon hearing him say this, I realized he heard what I just said. I didn't know what to do at this point, shame and nervousness set in being that I wasn't the type of girl that pursued guys this way.
  • “No need to be shy, we're both adults. Come on with me,” he grabbed my hand and leaned close to my ear. “I'll give you a night of passion that will make you forget all about your worries.”
  • I wondered how he knew I was worrying but there was no time for curiosity. I couldn't miss this chance, I really wanted to empty my heartbreak. I had planned to give out my virginity to Leo, my first boyfriend but he didn't even wait for me to leave before he cheated on me. My heart now burned with fury and lust, I was going to give my virginity to anyone I got attracted to and it turned out to be no one other than this sexy demi-god of a stranger.
