Chapter 5 A Happy Breakfast Time
- In the past, Joyce Albert had worked part-time in various places to make Dicky Johnson appear in front of everyone. However, in her pursuit of a fresh start in life, she has now completely resigned from her job and stays at home.
- Over the past three months, Aaron has closely monitored Joyce diet and work schedule. He has instructed her to apply the plaster she made herself three times a day, but he has not provided her with a mirror. He has also advised her to wear a mask whenever she is not applying the plaster.
- As a result, during this time, it has become a common sight to see a woman with disheveled hair and a black mask wandering around the house, often surprising Wilson Zoha when he returns home at night.
- At this moment, Wilson and Joyce are sitting at the dining table, with a healthy breakfast served in front of them. Joyce has prepared this lavish breakfast herself.
- "Wilson, I have dismissed the housekeeper. Besides, I have had a lot of free time lately. As a token of gratitude for introducing me to the stylist, I will make breakfast for you in the future and save you money on babysitters." The muffled voice from behind the black mask utters these words, sounding slightly distorted due to the additional layer.
- Wilson looks at the woman in front of him, who only reveals her eyes, and is slightly taken aback. If he hadn't already become accustomed to the presence of this peculiar woman, he might not have been able to eat right now. He wonders if introducing Aaron to her was the right decision.
- And what does she mean by saving on babysitting costs?
- Does she not realize the worth of the man sitting in front of her?
- Joyce notices that Wilson remains motionless for a while and takes the initiative to push the omelette towards him. "Try this, it's delicious."
- The plate in front of them contains an assortment of chicken, waffles and omelette, which are just as delicious as those found in restaurants.
- Wilson, accustomed to various delicacies, finds them truly delicious. He extends his cutlery towards the sausages nearby, which are equally satisfying.
- A glimmer of appreciation appears in Wilson eyes. This woman is more captivating than he had imagined, and... she seems like a wife.
- "How?" Joyce leans forward, blinking her eyes, resembling a patient dog waiting for praise from its master.
- Wilson lips curl into a smile as he looks at the woman's adorable expression. Combined with the delicious meal, he can't help but feel content.
- "Not bad."
- Upon hearing his praise, Joyce claps her hands happily, her laughter muffled by the black mask. In the past, Dicky would often praise her skills, but she never felt as happy as she does now.
- "What else can you make?" Wilson takes another sip of the soup in front of him, finding it equally delicious.
- Joyce tilts her head and starts counting on her fingers. "There are still many dishes I can make, such as American, Western, and Italian cuisine..."
- As Wilson Zoha listens to the woman in front of him, it feels as though she is listing off a vast array of treasures. His smile grows wider and wider. It seems that he has stumbled upon a true gem, though he wonders if her culinary skills will ruin his taste buds.
- "Why don't you eat with me? Take off that mask, I've seen your face before." Wilson looks at Joyce , who has been watching him eat, and furrows his brow.
- Joyce hurriedly shakes her head. Aaron expressed dissatisfaction with the current condition of her face when he visited yesterday. Even Joyce herself doesn't know what she looks like now, so it's impossible for Wilson to see her.
- "I already ate before making the breakfast," Joyce quickly responds.
- Seeing Joyce's nervous expression, Wilson decides not to push the matter further. It is said that women don't like showing their less attractive side to the men they like, so perhaps Joyce has feelings for him?
- The thought surprises Wilson . How could he entertain such strange thoughts?
- With that, Wilson falls silent and continues to enjoy the delicious breakfast in front of him.
- For the first time, Wilson finishes breakfast feeling completely satisfied.
- He stands up, adjusts his jacket, and can't help but let his gaze linger on Joyce for a moment before heading towards the door.
- Joyce looks at the clean dining table behind him, smiling with contentment. However, as she watches the man's retreating figure, a trace of doubt creeps into her mind.
- Rumors have it that Wilson , the second son of Zoha's financial company, is nothing more than a playboy who knows nothing but fooling around with women. However, during the time she has spent living with Wilson, she has noticed that aside from his late nights, he always wakes up and leaves the house on time every morning. Whenever Joyce wakes up at night, she sees light emanating from Wilson's room, though she isn't sure if he is working...
- He also never brings random women into the house.
- Something doesn't add up.
- Joyce furrows her brows, but quickly dismisses her concerns with a self-deprecating laugh. After all, Wilson's true nature is none of her concern. Why should she worry? After all, they are only a couple by agreement.
- She pats her face, still covered by the mask, and lets out a sigh of relief. Her current priority is to take good care of her face. Then, she will hold Wilson hand in front of Dicky Johson and Alicia Ben, tearing their relationship apart and exacting revenge on the man.
- Just as she is lost in her thoughts, a cell phone rings in the room.
- Joyce is momentarily stunned. Her cell phone ringtone is set to the melody of a meteor, not the default ringtone of the system.
- If it's not her phone, then it must be Wilson's.
- Did he forget to bring his phone?
- Joyce searches for the source of the ringtone and finds Wilson's phone in the bottom drawer next to the sofa.
- The phone's screen flashes white, and a familiar name appears on the screen - Madison Chris.
- If she remembers correctly, it has been two weeks since the news broke about Wilson Zoha and Madidon chris being seen entering and leaving a hotel together.
- It seems that Madison is the girlfriend he has dated the longest.
- A tinge of sourness fills Joyce heart. She hesitates for a moment, contemplating whether to answer the call and inform Madison that Wilson has left his phone at home. However, in the end, she decides not to press the answer button.
- What right does she have to answer a call on Wilson phone? And if Madison asks who she is, how should she respond?
- Should she say she is Wilson Zoha's wife? She can't bring herself to say that.
- After three rings, the ringtone finally stops.
- Joyce ponders over her decision once again and decides to go out and deliver the phone to Wilson. After all, if he occasionally forgets his phone, it shouldn't be a major issue. Who knows, Madison might be looking for Wilson due to an urgent matter.
- Joyce puts on a baseball cap and a black jacket, then rushes out the door. If she's quick, she might be able to catch up with Wilson.
