Chapter 164 Past Events
- After Margaret Smith returned to the Zoha Family home, she lived her life quietly for two days. She understood that reconciling with Evans Zoha was not possible, so she chose not to fight for it. She simply lived quietly with Wilson Zoha, and Evans treated them well enough to meet their basic needs.
- However, Margaret's ability to communicate effectively did not mean that Debbie possessed the same skill. Margaret's presence posed a significant threat to her, and as a result, Debbie initially did not react for several days. Eventually, she devised a plan to frame Margaret and Wilson, which led to both mother and son feeling disgust towards her. Debbie even went as far as inviting Wilson, who also harbored hatred towards him, to join in her disdain.
- One stormy night when Wilson was only five years old, Margaret fell seriously ill due to the coldness and indifference of Evans, as well as the accumulated grievances and hatred she had endured. She was bedridden and weak.
