Chapter 8 What?!

• In utmost shock, Mr. Santiago beckons for his wife and daughter to come to see what the envelope has on it.
• They read it and their jaws slack at the fact that someone as influential and rich as this would also offer to arrest the same person they also want to put behind bars for disrupting the wedding ceremony of their daughter so this motivates them to push through with their original threats.
• The morning is still brightening the next day when Mr. Santiago abruptly wakes up, picks up his phone from the lampstand, and places a call to the sheriff.
