Chapter 12 Plagiarist Student

  • When Adriana woke up the next morning, she found that they were still in the same position as the night before. Her face immediately turned red, and she slowly slipped out of his embrace to go take a shower.
  • When she came out of the bathroom, Sebastian was still asleep.
  • Adriana changed into her school uniform and quietly grabbed her backpack before opening the door to leave. As soon as the door closed behind her, Sebastian, who had been sleeping, opened his eyes. There was an unreadable emotion within his deep gray eyes as he stared at the white ceiling above him.
  • St. Andrews Academy was one of the best private schools in Ashbourne and also served as a school for the children of the rich and famous here.
  • The school's management system allowed students to leave the school grounds one day a week, and the rest of the time, they were required to stay there.
  • When Adriana returned to her dormitory, Isla was already waiting for her at the door.
  • "On my way here, I stopped by the new pastry shop that just opened and brought you a slice of red velvet cake." Isla pulled her inside and happily opened the cake box, taking out a slice of delicious red velvet cake. "It tastes amazing; you should try it."
  • "Thanks, Isla." Adriana took the cake and bit into it. She quickly moaned softly at how delicious it was.
  • Maya Daniels, who was sleeping in the top bunk, opened her eyes and looked down when she heard the noise. When she saw the expression on Adriana's face, she immediately sneered. "Yo, isn't this the plagiarist student?"
  • Plagiarist student?
  • Adriana furrowed her brow and looked at her. "What are you talking about?"
  • "Is there any point in pretending to be a little white flower every day? Everyone already knows about it, okay!" Maya mocked her lightly before rolling over and falling back to sleep.
  • Adriana bit into the cake and threw a pleading look at Isla. These people had always made her feel so inferior, and whenever Isla wasn’t around, they all took the opportunity to bully her.
  • She didn’t know what had happened, and before she could figure out the whole story, she was still that idiot who didn't even dare to speak loudly, only knowing how to study hard.
  • Understanding her gaze, Isla blinked and quickly left the room.
  • As soon as she left, Riley Pierce, who occupied the top bunk above Isla’s, came back. When she saw Adriana, she suddenly laughed mockingly. "You're going to get kicked out of this school, but you still have the mood to sit here and eat cake? Your skin really is that thick!"
  • Adriana narrowed her eyes and stood up, staring at Riley. "Who did you say is getting kicked out?"
  • "Why are you pretending to be innocent? The school has proof that you cheated during the midterm exam. No, it's not because you have thick skin; it's because you're just shameless!" Riley extended her hand and pushed Adriana's forehead with her finger. "A good dog would never block its master's path. Move!"
  • Adriana let out a cynical laugh and immediately grabbed her wrist tightly. "Who are you calling a dog!"
  • Riley, who was caught off guard by Adriana’s outburst, froze for a moment. Then she began to curse at her. "You’re the dog! I’m calling you a dog. In the fifty years this school has been built, you’re the first person caught cheating so blatantly. You are so shameless!”
  • Maya was also stunned by Adriana's outburst. She sat up on her bed and watched their fight with wide-eyed eyes.
  • Adriana was infuriated, and the pressure she applied on Riley's wrist intensified. "First of all, I didn’t cheat. And secondly, your mouth is filthy. Is this how your parents taught you manners?"
  • "Stop pretending. Not only did you cheat, but you even ran away from home after your parents found out about it. How can you still dare to say you're innocent?" Maya chimed in, her face showing deep ridicule. "This news has spread throughout the entire school."
  • Adriana pursed her lips and suddenly released Riley's wrist.
  • It was Olivia again.
  • Adriana had been taken away by Sebastian from the hotel yesterday, and Jasper had thrown the phone, along with the clothes Jack had bought for her, in the trash, so no one knew where she was.
  • Jack must have told Olivia about this, and she probably thought Adriana wouldn't show up again, which was why she was spreading this rumor.
  • It was so typical of her.
  • "I bet you're feeling guilty and embarrassed now, aren't you?" Maya climbed down from her bed and laughed derisively. "I heard you went into a hotel room with a man. Tsk tsk, looking at your behavior, I really can't tell that you're that kind of girl!"
  • "Isn't she always like this? She pretends to be dull and plain every day, but she's actually cunning to the core!" Riley continued as she grabbed her bag from the table and walked out. "Maya, let's go. There's going to be a great show for us to watch later."
  • Adriana clenched her fists and sat back down. She calmly ate the remaining half of her cake.
  • Twenty minutes before class started, Isla suddenly burst into the room, panting with a pale face.
  • Adriana lifted her eyelids and looked at Isla calmly. "What actually happened?"
  • Isla motioned for her to wait a moment and went to drink some water. Then she grabbed her bag and pulled Adriana out with her. "Let’s talk on the way."
  • Even without Isla telling her, Adriana had roughly guessed the truth.
  • The results of the midterm exam that was held before the school holiday were going to be announced today. As usual, the results for each student would be displayed on the big screen in front of the school field.
  • However, today, it wasn’t the exam results that were being shown, but the screenshots from the surveillance camera in the exam room.
  • When Adriana got there, all the students had gathered and were ridiculing her. She raised her eyebrow and looked at the photos calmly.
  • In these photos, she had just returned from handing in her paper to the teacher when she accidentally knocked over an eraser on her desk. She bent down to pick it up, but at that moment, her medical report also fell out of her uniform pocket.
  • Those who saw the photos didn’t care whether the paper was a medical report. What they immediately recognized was that she had brought in a small copy of a cheat sheet into the exam room.
  • Combined with the rumors from Olivia, everything was perfect.
  • The cheater had been caught, then scolded by her parents. Out of guilt and shame, she had run away from home and gotten a room with a man.
  • The version Isla heard was that she had given birth to an illegitimate child in the last three days before the end of the school holiday.
  • Tsk, tsk. What utter nonsense!
