Chapter 11 Sharing The Bed With Him

  • Adriana let out a sigh of relief and resumed eating her noodles. Once finished, she went into the kitchen to wash the dishes.
  • Sebastian remained seated in his chair, watching her lazily. It was rare to see him so relaxed. In her eyes, he was like a tightly wound spring, always tense and on edge.
  • "Sebastian?" Feeling uneasy under his persistent gaze, Adriana braced herself to speak.
  • His gaze, which had been directed at her as if she were his prey, came back again. He slowly stood up and walked towards her. Before she could react, he had already scooped her into his arms.
  • "Ah!" Adriana immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and gasped in surprise. Knowing what was about to happen, she could only grit her teeth and surrender as he carried her into the bedroom.
  • No matter what reaction she gave him, Sebastian did not stop. After what felt like endless rounds of his relentless lovemaking, Adriana eventually fell asleep once again from exhaustion.
  • This time, she slept soundly. Her body felt so warm, as if she had fallen into a furnace, and it made her feel incredibly comfortable. She subconsciously snuggled even closer into Sebastian's embrace as she slept.
  • When she woke up, it was already night. The bright moonlight filtered gently through the curtains, casting a soft, subdued light into the room. Adriana groaned softly and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already 8 p.m. No wonder.
  • Today was the last day of her school holiday. The moonlight seemed far more beautiful than before, and even the night air was refreshingly cool.
  • Adriana got up to wash her face and headed downstairs. When she saw Sebastian sitting in the living room, she almost stumbled. “Sebastian?”
  • It was the weekend; shouldn’t he be at the Kingsley family mansion, keeping his grandmother company?
  • “There’s an emergency at the company.” As if he could see right through her thoughts, Sebastian closed the game he had been playing on his laptop without batting an eyelid and opened his company report.
  • Adriana didn’t notice his actions and continued making her way downstairs in confusion. If there really was an emergency at the company, shouldn’t he be there instead and not at home? His words didn’t make much sense.
  • Opening the backpack she had left on the couch, Adriana grabbed her pajamas and went into the bathroom to change.
  • Sebastian had helped clean her up earlier, but the clothes he had put on her were his shirt.
  • After changing into her pink pajamas with a cartoon bunny printed on the front, Adriana came out and went back to the living room.
  • Sebastian was still staring at the laptop screen, his focus entirely on the company report.
  • Adriana sat across from him, hesitating for a moment before speaking. "Sebastian, could I get a new phone?"
  • The phone that Jack had bought for her was in the bag of clothes, and that bag had been thrown into the trash can by Jasper.
  • Sebastian glanced up at her and picked up his phone from the coffee table. He then dialed Jasper and said briefly, “Prepare a phone and a SIM card for me.”
  • The call lasted less than five seconds.
  • The corner of Adriana's mouth twitched slightly, and she immediately gave up trying to appear reserved in front of him. She playfully rolled around on the couch. As she did so, the hem of her pajama pants lifted slightly, revealing her long, slender legs. Her shirt also rode up a bit, exposing her flat stomach.
  • Sebastian's eyes followed the movement before they landed on the smooth skin of her legs. The cartoon bunny on her shirt was winking mischievously at him, and when Adriana rolled around like that, it enhanced her visual impact even more. From his angle, he could also see the bare skin of her flat stomach.
  • His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, and he quickly averted his gaze, refocusing on the report he pretended to read just now.
  • A few minutes later, the doorbell rang.
  • Adriana was still rolling around on the couch, and when she heard the doorbell, she was just about to get up when Sebastian had already put down his laptop and gone to open the door. She glanced down at her pajamas’ state and couldn’t help but giggle softly.
  • When Sebastian came back and handed her the phone, he had already set his number as the first on the speed dial. Adriana messaged Isla to inform her of the new number, and while doing so, she took the initiative to tell him, "I’ll sleep on the couch ton-"
  • Before she could finish her sentence, he cut her off with a casual tone, "Let’s sleep together."
  • She immediately looked at him and pursed her lips, hesitating for a moment before nodding. They'd been intimate a few times already, and she was only staying here for the night, so sharing a bed with him wouldn’t be a problem.
  • After sending the message to Isla, she once again felt sleepy. After saying goodnight to Sebastian, she went upstairs to sleep.
  • The amount of stamina she had spent exercising with him was more exhausting than running a 2000-meter race.
  • As soon as her head hit the pillow, she fell asleep immediately. Her sleep quality had never been high. When she lived in the Hudson residence, her bedroom had been a small storage room on the lower floor. Every night, she often heard the sound of mice scurrying and gnawing around the room.
  • Her life had been like Cinderella's, living among mice — but she was no Cinderella.
  • Such a life had begun when she was very young.
  • Margaret did not like her, so in the name of saving electricity, she rarely turned on the lights downstairs, and Adriana had to sleep in the darkness. During the summer, she slept in the heat, and in the winter, she shivered through the coldness.
  • Then, when she was in high school, perhaps Margaret had found her conscience; she finally allowed her to move to the second floor to live across from Olivia.
  • Just as Adriana was about to doze off, Sebastian opened the bedroom door and entered.
  • Her nerves involuntarily tensed up as she heard his footsteps. She was afraid he wanted to do that again with her.
  • She had to go back to school tomorrow morning, and after all the rounds earlier, her body had no energy left.
  • After waiting for a while, she peeked her head out from under the blanket and saw Sebastian putting on his pajamas. Upon seeing his bare backside, she quickly averted her eyes.
  • Sebastian was someone who had been blessed by heaven. Not only did he have a handsome face, but his figure was also perfect, like a Greek sculpture.
  • If not, how could she and Olivia have fallen in love with him in the previous life?
  • "Go to sleep," Sebastian said as he lifted the blanket and lay down beside her. He turned off the light, and darkness quickly enveloped the room, along with the fresh scent of his body filling her nose.
  • Adriana’s heartbeat quickened, and she soon began to sweat profusely. She tried to move away a little to put some distance between herself and Sebastian, but his arm instinctively reached out and wrapped around her waist as he slowly pulled her back into his embrace.
  • She gritted her teeth and protested in a choked voice as she felt his hand groping her. "I have school tomorrow."
  • "Mm." His hand finally stopped moving. He rubbed his chin against her head, and his breathing slowly calmed.
  • During this time, every nerve in Adriana's body was on edge as she waited for his next move. But after a while, when she heard his steady breathing, she finally realized that Sebastian had fallen asleep.
  • She immediately let out a huge sigh of relief and finally fell into a deep sleep.
