- Benita paces back and forth, glancing at the clock every few seconds. She called Sam over an hour ago, and he's still not here. Restless, she finally sinks into the couch, grabbing her phone to call him again-just as the front door creaks open. Startled, she drops her phone and stands quickly.
- "You're finally here," she breathes out in relief.
