• Benita glares back, voice cold and sharp. "Then you shouldn’t have slapped me because of her. If you weren’t so obsessed with her, I wouldn’t have done anything! You were so confident about your plan to make Alan permanently blind, and yet, you failed. We should’ve just killed him instead."
• "Killed him?" Karen scoffs. "You think killing Alan would’ve solved things? We’d be dead by now. Keeping him alive is what’s keeping everything under wraps."
• "Then why didn’t we get rid of Vienna too? Is she really a threat—or are you just keeping her around for yourself?" she yells, her voice trembling with jealousy and rage.
