Chapter 9 Eight

• Lena quickly averted her gaze and shut her eyes as he came into view. Her heart raced so fast she feared it'll run out of her chest. And while she thought of her escape route, Thane turned in her direction and noticed her unease.
• “Who missed me?” the voice called cheerfully, as he got to the table with his female partner. Grinning with excitement, they both slid into the seats reserved for them.
• Luckily, the chairs were positioned right in front of Lena, so they wouldn’t be able to see her unless they made an awkward turn.
