• The night was pitch black and chilly when Lena got down from the car and began walking towards the entrance of the house. But Lena didn't seem to notice the chill as her messy mind provided enough warmth.
• ‘You see now that he's an asshole?’ the voice in her head nagged as she placed her hand on the handle of the door. ‘He couldn't even write the note himself.’
• “Stop it, it's the thought that counts." She whispered under her breath and entered the building, not willing to hold any grudge against Thane, as she now felt nothing but pity for him.
