Chapter 8 Spitting Out A Snake

  • "You useless fool!"
  • Sylvia glared at Smith. "What did you inject into my grandfather just now?"
  • Everyone could see that Arthur's condition worsened after he received the medication. There must be a problem with the medicine.
  • "Well..." At this point, Smith knew that if he continued to hide the truth, his own life would be in danger. He quickly said, "It's just adrenaline. How could this happen?"
  • Upon hearing that it was adrenaline, Kaiser instantly understood.
  • The source of the curse in Arthur's body was already unstable due to Kaiser's earlier disturbance.
  • Now, stimulated by adrenaline, it immediately became uncontrollable within Arthur's body.
  • Duncan was also in a panic because he had invited Smith. If Smith caused Arthur's death, he would share the responsibility.
  • Seeing Kaiser's thoughtful expression, Duncan suddenly had an idea.
  • He pointed at Kaiser and shouted, "It's you! What did you do to Lord Valerio before we arrived?"
  • Smith also realized it was time to shift the blame and said hastily, "Yes, yes, it must be this guy who did something. Otherwise, this reaction wouldn't have occurred. Earlier, he even predicted that Lord Valerio would be in danger. He must know something!"
  • With a swift slap, Sylvia knocked Smith to the ground. "You fool! How dare you slander Mr. Rafaelsen?"
  • She had observed Kaiser throughout his time in the ward. There was no way it could be Kaiser's fault.
  • Smith's face turned pale. He covered his face and didn't say a word.
  • Kaiser spoke up. "Enough, stop shifting the blame. Lord Valerio will die if this continues."
  • Duncan quickly responded, "Yes, I'll call an ambulance right away."
  • "What's the use of calling an ambulance? Aren't the top doctors in Fairlake here? Aren't they all useless?" Sylvia retorted indignantly.
  • Upon hearing these words, all the experts in the room lowered their heads in shame.
  • They were elderly people but dared not speak back to a young lady in her twenties.
  • After all, they lacked the skills and deserved the insult.
  • Seeing this, Kaiser shook his head and walked over. "Now, can I take a look?"
  • Sylvia forcefully moved Smith aside, seizing Kaiser's hand. "Mr. Rafaelsen, if you can heal my grandfather, the Valerio family is ready to meet any request you may have!"
  • Standing aside, Duncan said sourly, "Kid, you're in trouble if you can't treat him!"
  • Hearing this, Kaiser stepped aside to make room. "I can't do it. Why don't you give it a try?"
  • Duncan was momentarily stunned as he gave Kaiser an angry look.
  • Sylvia had also had enough of Duncan. Furious, she yelled at him, "I don't want to see you anymore. Leave now with your people!"
  • Duke's face turned red with embarrassment. He glared resentfully at Kaiser and slunk away.
  • Smith tried to leave too, but Sylvia stopped him. If Kaiser couldn't cure Arthur, someone needed to take responsibility, and Smith was the most suitable candidate.
  • Ignoring the pale-faced Smith, Kaiser checked the curse inside Arthur again and said, "The curse inside Lord Valerio is going berserk. I can't drive it out on my own. I need your help to get something."
  • "What is it?" Sylvia asked hastily.
  • "Some sage, a frog, a chicken bone ground into powder, and a cup of holy water from the church," said Kaiser.
  • "Huh? What are you going to do with these things? They sound disgusting," Irinka remarked with a shudder.
  • "Stop talking nonsense and get on with it!" Sylvia glared at her.
  • Helplessly, Irinka could only start gathering the items needed with her bodyguards.
  • In less than half an hour, all the items Kaiser needed were brought into the ward.
  • In front of everyone, Kaiser mixed the various items together. He crushed and stirred them, creating a strange and disgusting liquid.
  • "What is he up to? He's not going to make Lord Valerio drink that stuff, is he?" one expert asked, suppressing his disgust.
  • Everyone else shook their heads, indicating they didn't understand.
  • Under the watchful eyes of everyone present, Kaiser poured the strange liquid into Arthur's mouth.
  • In less than three seconds, the originally pained expression on Arthur's face became even more twisted.
  • Just as Irinka was about to question Kaiser, Arthur woke up after being in a coma for a month. He turned over and began vomiting profusely.
  • One expert pointed at Arthur's mouth, exclaiming in shock, "What is that?"
  • Everyone looked on, only to see a tiny snake slithering out of Arthur's mouth, falling onto the floor. After struggling for a moment, it suddenly lay still.
