Chapter 4 The Mad Woman

  • Inside the fast-moving red Porsche, Sylvia burst into laughter, occasionally glancing at the rearview mirror, seemingly observing Kaiser's expression.
  • Kaiser simply thought she was joking, so he didn't respond.
  • Sylvia chuckled softly, then focused on driving.
  • At that moment, a series of urgent honks suddenly came from behind the car. A silver sedan appeared in the rearview mirror.
  • With just one glance, Kaiser recognized it as his ex-wife Elvira's car.
  • "It seems your wife is coming to catch you in the act!" Sylvia said, finding the situation quite amusing as she looked at the car speeding up in the rearview mirror.
  • "Don't mind her. I've just divorced her," Kaiser said nonchalantly.
  • "Oh?" Sylvia raised an eyebrow, her eyes full of curiosity.
  • Kaiser didn't say much as he knew why Elvira had come.
  • She's probably here to confront me about Danton.
  • Normally, he would have taken the time to explain things to her, but he simply wasn't in the mood at the moment.
  • Seeing the situation, Sylvia didn't ask any more questions. She provocatively glanced at the rearview mirror, then stepped on the accelerator, causing the Porsche to speed up like a rocket.
  • However, Elvira clearly had no intentions of giving up as she suddenly accelerated as well, quickly catching up to them.
  • Two cars raced down the highway, leaving behind streaks of red and silver.
  • It seemed as if Elvira had sparked a competitive spirit in Sylvia. Her smile grew even brighter, and the roar of her car's engine was like that of a wild beast. In no time, she had significantly increased the distance between her and the sedan behind her.
  • Even though her car didn't match the performance of the sports car ahead, Elvira's competitive spirit wouldn't allow her to give up. Gritting her teeth, she stepped on the accelerator, keeping close behind the sports car.
  • Kaiser nearly jumped out of his skin, shocked by the sheer recklessness of the two women. Seeing the sports car's speed almost surpassing one hundred miles per hour, he hastily yelled, "Stop! Stop! Stop! Are you out of your mind? Aren't you afraid of causing an accident driving this fast?"
  • With a hint of regret, Sylvia slowed down the car and gradually came to a halt.
  • Seeing the situation, Elvira quickly followed suit, parking her car next to the Porsche.
  • As the silver car door swung open, Elvira stormed over, casting a glance at Sylvia in the driver's seat, then turned to Kaiser and demanded, "Who is she?"
  • After calling for an ambulance, Elvira had rushed over to the parking lot, only to see Kaiser leaving with another woman.
  • In a moment of impulsiveness, she followed behind him.
  • Elvira's emotions were a complex mix as she watched the two people in the red Porsche.
  • She was taken aback to find that Kaiser was already involved with an incredibly beautiful woman after he had just divorced her.
  • Clearly, Kaiser had known this woman for quite some time. Who knows? He might have even cheated during our marriage!
  • With this in mind, Elvira was certain that her decision to divorce Kaiser was the right one.
  • A twinge of jealousy crept into Elvira's heart. Despite being a woman herself, she had to admit that Sylvia was indeed far too beautiful. Coupled with her elegant and noble demeanor, Elvira found herself feeling a touch of envy and inferiority in comparison.
  • But after all, she was a strong woman. She didn't reveal her inner thoughts, but instead put on an intimidating demeanor, questioning Kaiser.
  • In response to Elvira's interrogation, Kaiser remained very calm and said, "Does it matter to you who she is?"
  • Seeing Kaiser's attitude when speaking to her, Elvira became even more displeased.
  • How could it be that after three years of marriage, where Kaiser was nothing but compliant and always found ways to cheer her up, his attitude took a complete turn the moment we divorced?
  • Taking a deep breath, Elvira said, "All right, we're divorced now, and I won't interfere with your personal life. But you need to explain to me, did you or did you not hurt Danton?"
  • "I did."
  • "So, it really was you!" Elvira exclaimed angrily. "I never thought you were this kind of person. I'm the one who wanted a divorce, if you're upset, then take it out on me! What's the point in targeting my family? Do you know how badly Danton is hurt?"
  • "Aren't you going to ask me why I suddenly beat him up?" Kaiser retorted.
  • "There's no excuse for you to hit someone, no matter what!" said Elvira.
  • Kaiser shook his head. If Elvira didn't want to reason with him, then there was no point in talking at all.
  • At that moment, Sylvia, who was watching the drama from the side, suddenly said in a charming voice, "Let's just ignore this mad woman, shall we? Let's go, Honey!"
  • "Honey?"
