Chapter 3 Wrath
- Bam!
- With an uncanny awareness, as if he had eyes in the back of his head, Kaiser effortlessly grabbed Danton's wrist, the one clutching the stone, without even turning around.
- "Let go!" Danton's face turned beet red, and the stone in his hand fell to the ground. He felt an immense force from where Kaiser had grabbed him, and the pain was unbearable.
- "Danton, even though we don't have the best relationship, I was once your brother-in-law, wasn't I?" Kaiser turned around, glaring coldly at Danton as he continued, "Do you know what kind of consequences could have resulted from what you just did?"
- Danton forcefully tried to pry Kaiser's hand off his as he retorted, "What's it to me? Even if you die, I won't go to jail! Now, be smart and hand over the five million quickly! Let go of me!"
- Kaiser sighed and said, "Even though your sister and I just got divorced, I can't help but want to teach you a lesson. After all, your personality will inevitably cause her trouble!"
- "What does my personality have to do with you?" Kaiser had Danton's wrist in a vice-like grip. Danton simply stopped trying to break free, his other hand forming a fist and smashing it toward Kaiser's face. "D*mn you!"
- However, before his fist could land, Kaiser let go of his hand. Before Danton even had time to rejoice, he felt a tremendous force hit his chest, sending him flying into a wall.
- Danton slid down the wall to the floor, clutching his chest as he groaned continuously. He felt as if he had broken at least a few ribs.
- Kaiser withdrew his raised leg and said coldly, "Remember, don't insult me next time."
- Having said that, he turned around without a second glance and walked away.
- He was busy with other matters, so he didn't have time to deal with such people.
- When Danton bumped into the wall, it made quite a racket. People quickly came out to see what was going on. Seeing Danton groaning on the ground, they were immediately startled.
- The entire estate was suddenly plunged into chaos, with everyone rushing out.
- "Danton!" Elvira's mother, Maria Dicassa, cried out, tears streaming down her face as she saw the severity of her son's injuries. "Who did this? I'll kill them!"
- Elvira too, was frowning as she looked at Danton's collapsed chest. Just who could be so ruthless?
- Danton's consciousness was still fairly clear, the intense pain in his chest even sobering him up a bit from the alcohol. "I-It was Kaiser..." he mumbled weakly.
- Maria gritted her teeth as she yelled, "Kaiser? How dare that good-for-nothing do this?"
- Upon hearing Kaiser's name, Elvira couldn't believe it at first, because she thought she knew Kaiser well enough to know that he wouldn't harm Danton without a good reason.
- "Why did Kaiser hit you? And weren't you just drinking in there? Why did you come outside?" Elvira asked.
- "Why else do you think? It must be because he got dumped and is deliberately taking revenge on us!" Maria exclaimed loudly.
- Danton's eyes were somewhat evasive as he said with a hint of grievance, "I just wanted to see Kaiser off. After all, he has been my brother-in-law for three years. Who would have known..."
- "Oh dear! My son is so kind-hearted, and yet, that good-for-nothing dared harm him! How heartless! How could we have chosen such an ingrate as our son-in-law! Call the police! Have him arrested!"
- Maria was crying and screaming, threatening to call the police.
- Elvira sighed, feeling utterly disappointed in Kaiser. Yet, she calmly suggested, "We should take Danton to the hospital first."
- Meanwhile, Kaiser, known as the "ingrate," had already settled into a luxurious red Porsche, on his way to save someone's life.
- With a peculiar expression, Kaiser looked at the woman beside him and said, "I didn't expect Roderick to send you to pick me up."
- The woman turned around, revealing a beautiful face that was in no way inferior to Elvira's. She gave Kaiser a teasing glance as she asked, "What, do you know me, Mr. Rafaelsen?"
- "You are the famous countess Sylvia Valerio, the dream lover of all the aristocrats in Drieso. How could I not know you? I just didn't expect the distinguished countess to be my driver," Kaiser replied nonchalantly.
- Sylvia Valerio, the only granddaughter of the earl, Arthur Valerio, was the future countess. The Valerio family was also the most prominent family in Fairlake.
- Sylvia laughed. "You're too modest, Mr. Rafaelsen! It would be a great honor for me to be your driver!"
- She glanced at Kaiser in the rearview mirror and chuckled playfully as she continued, "However, you just mentioned that I am the dream lover of all the aristocrats in Drieso. I wonder, does that include you?"
