Chapter 11 Coveting His Body
- "You never cease to amaze me, Kaiser," Sylvia said, looking at Kaiser with a strange expression after dismissing the thugs. "You know curses, alchemy, and even martial arts. What skill will you show me next time? Sorcery? Or perhaps little wings on your back?"
- Feeling a bit uneasy under her gaze, Kaiser changed the subject. "Sylvia, aren't you curious about the motives of those people just now?"
- "Of course, I am," Sylvia replied. "I'm curious why someone as gentlemanly as you would have any connection with those people."
- She knows. Kaiser sighed inwardly. Considering the Valerio family's connections and wealth, it would be madness for Morris to try kidnapping Sylvia.
- The thugs' target was Kaiser all along, and Sylvia got involved because of him.
- Seeing her beaten-up car, Kaiser apologized to Sylvia, "I'm sorry. Those people should be sent by my ex-wife's brother to teach me a lesson."
- "No need to apologize," Sylvia smiled. "You're the Valerio family's savior. Besides, I'm unharmed, and being protected by someone feels rather reassuring."
- At this point, Sylvia suddenly chuckled and continued, "Today has truly been an eye-opener for me. Kaiser, since you're so skilled, could you be my bodyguard for a few days? After all, I'm just a woman who needs a sense of security."
- After finishing her words, Sylvia gazed at Kaiser expectantly.
- Kaiser couldn't imagine any man refusing Sylvia's request.
- Kaiser wasn't sure what this woman was up to, but considering the trouble he had caused her, he had no choice but to reluctantly agree, "Okay!"
- "That's wonderful!" Sylvia exclaimed. "There's a party tonight, and you'll be my escort."
- Before Kaiser could respond, Sylvia drove away.
- Kaiser watched as Sylvia's car disappeared into the distance. He remained silent for a long time.
- Embarrassingly enough, he felt as if Sylvia was coveting his body.
- Dusk fell at Valerio Castle, located on a low hill not far from Valerio Villa.
- In ancient times, this castle served as an easily defensible military fortress. However, in the modern era dominated by firearms, it had lost its military significance.
- The Valerio family transformed it into a venue for hosting various events.
- At this moment, a silver business sedan slowly stopped at the castle's entrance.
- The door opened, revealing a pair of black high-heeled shoes stepping out.
- Following were slender legs that reflected a soft glow under the neon lights.
- Everyone nearby was quickly captivated by these legs, eagerly anticipating the appearance of their owner.
- The owner did not keep them waiting long, elegantly descending from the car.
- "Goodness, how can there be such a beautiful woman?" someone exclaimed.
- "Truly one of God's most outstanding creations!" another person mumbled in awe.
- "I know her. She's the CEO of Delgard Corporation, the favored one of Lady Luck, Elvira. I never expected her to be even more beautiful in person!"
- Soon, news of Elvira's arrival spread throughout the square.
- Tonight, Elvira wore an expensive light blue evening gown with delicate makeup, presenting a beautiful face that exuded nobility and elegance.
- The open back of the gown added an indescribable allure.
- Pure and tempting, she seemed like Eve who had just tasted the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
- "Is this Valerio Castle? It's my first time here!" Elvira's assistant, Evelyn, exclaimed as she stepped out of the car.
- Elvira didn't reply. As a billionaire CEO, she was naturally familiar with Valerio Castle.
- Suddenly, someone rushed over from a distance. "Elvira, you're here!"
- Elvira and Evelyn turned to look. It was Carlos, Elvira's suitor.
- Elvira furrowed her brow, appearing somewhat surprised.
- "Carlos? You're here too?" Behind Elvira, Evelyn greeted him and laughed. "Your timing is perfect, now Elvira has a male companion!"
- "That's great. I don't have a female companion either!" Carlos exclaimed with joy.
- Upon hearing this, Elvira opened her mouth to protest but ultimately didn't say anything.
- Tonight's party didn't require bringing a partner, but having one could help Elvira avoid some troublesome situations, like unfamiliar people approaching her or toasting.
- These were tasks Kaiser used to handle, but since their divorce, Kaiser could no longer appear on such occasions.
- As the three were about to enter the castle, a commotion erupted in the crowd.
- "Look, another goddess! This woman is even more beautiful than Elvira!"
- Hearing this, Elvira seemed displeased. She looked toward the source of the commotion only to be suddenly taken aback.
- She saw an unexpected person.
- "Kaiser? What's he doing here?"
