Chapter 49

Daniel's POV
After dinner ended and I said goodnight to Amelia, I talked with Fabián for a few minutes. We went out to the balcony and had a drink while catching up on work and life. He and I have been friends for decades, but the news of Amelia and I had been shocking to him. After a couple of years have passed, he truly knows that I love her, and he has come to understand that my intentions are honest. I wanted to take care of her and adore her for the rest of our lives. We have talked several times and he has finally come to terms with it.
Our last friend left the dinner, I said goodnight to Amelia, leaving him on the porch with his whisky.
