• Daniel’s POV
• Work was kicking my ass. My personal life was too. I had meeting after meeting, flights from city to city. After a bad investment, my company was in a tough economic situation, but I had been working hard to get back on track, although at times my focus worked against me. I couldn't help but think of her.
• Letting go of Amelia had been difficult. These months without her had left me feeling empty and lost. All I could do was work and keep my mind occupied. I didn't want to think about the things she might be doing, maybe forming new friendships, attending parties, or meeting someone new. And on top of that, I hadn't heard from my father, he hadn't contacted me again, everything had been silent, he was still on the run.
