- The first thing I heard was white noise. Like water or the ocean.
- The white noise turned into a ringing sound. Then, the ringing gave way to soft murmurs. My heavy eyelids opened and the lights above almost blinded me. I groaned and tried to move, but the pain in the back of my head stopped me.
