Chapter 42
- Amelia’s POV
- Daniel ordered room service for lunch. There was a reason why he had taken so long to meet me at the gas station. He had contemplated it before going. I literally paced around my bedroom. I weighed the pros and cons repeatedly, and somehow the pros outweighed. I knew I would regret not seeing him.
- We were lounging on his bed, the perfect lazy Sunday. He had answered some business calls, but I didn't mind. I was happy to be close to him. While I was waiting for an email to tell me the final exam schedules for the semester, followed by a holiday period before starting the second. The TV was on at that moment. A news report about a chase reflected, the images showed the censored body of the criminal who was fleeing from the police. At the same time, a photograph of the now deceased was reflected. Daniel ended the call and approached the TV, looking shocked by the news.
