• “Okay, so Rachel and I were dating. At the time Adrian was on a mission, he had never met her. I had told her about him, obviously, as he pretty much lives here and never goes home. The day he was due back, I was in a meeting that had been planned. I got home and walked in on him and Rachel fucking.” I smile slightly at him; I can see he is hurt by it. Did he love her? I won't ask, but I do wonder?
• “Anyway, she was the first brat I let in—the first one who made me want her. I almost got over it, I say almost as when I had decided to forgive her, I saw the boxes of pills full - unopened. I flipped, took her phone, read her messages, and saw messages between her and her sister about using me to get pregnant for money. After a month, I didn't get her pregnant, so she slept with Adrian and other guys. Eventually, she got pregnant but not by either of us.” I stare at him shocked.
