Chapter 18

  • Getting ready, I go back to the club. Walking in, Elaine smiles at me. "You okay?" I nod, I'm not, but I have to nod and smile. She doesn't ask, just walks away as I begin to get ready, the night passing again, and once again, I find myself sitting alone. I have not heard anything from Alesandro, and right now, I have no idea if this weekend is happening or not. I go home, walking in. Henry and Clyde are sitting together laughing. He has already pretty much moved in. I walk to my room, locking the door. I climb into bed, the blanket wrapping around me as comfort as I feel the tears falling from my eyes.
  • Waking up, I inspect the room. I don't have much to move, so a taxi would be fine. I picked the keys up before work yesterday. I sit in the soundless room, unsure if I even want to say goodbye to Clyde. I have done something wrong. I shake my head. I didn't. My parents clearly got involved, and whatever they have said has stopped Clyde and Rose from talking to me. Booking the taxi, I sit and wait - not long afterwards it pulls up. Walking out, I put everything in it and turn back to look at the apartment before leaving.
  • Getting to the new place, I walk in, my eyes glancing around. While it is amazing, I feel alone. I begin to unpack everything, the day passes by… and I hear nothing from no one. Not even Alesandro. Is this my parents’ way of torturing me? I feel like I have lost everyone who matters. The light knocking has me walking to the door. I hand opens it.
