Chapter 244 Breaking News (I)

• Malik didn’t come home last night. He didn’t reply any of my texts or picked up my calls. He had sent a text to let me know he wouldn’t be home. Waylen also called to let me know Malik was fine and safe with him. But I was still worried. It was unlike him. What if something bad had happened and they were keeping me in the dark? That was one thing those two would readily agree to do. I hated and loved it.
• I curled on the living room couch watching random shows to distract myself when the front door opened. Malik walked in, and the first thing I noticed was his shirt. It was different from what he wore yesterday. He walked past my couch without a glance at me and rushed upstairs. I raced after him.
• The door was open, but he didn’t hear me walk in. His hands were akimbo as he stared into the distance. I didn’t want to think too much of it as he had been a bit distant of late. But when he ripped his shirt instead of taking it off, I rushed to him.
