• Amara couldn't quite believe she was here. She had surprised herself by accepting Leo's dinner invitation. It was one thing giving way to desire last night, but that had been physical. This was different. This was her making a conscious choice to spend time with Leo outside of the workplace.
• She should have probably said no, but she had to admit that she was glad she hadn't. The food here was good, and they had had a good time. They had laughed a lot, and she had found herself relaxing. She was sure the shiraz had a bit to do with it, but it wasn't just that. It was Leo. He was putting her at ease with him for the first time. He was attentive and charming, and she did not want to admit it, but she honestly felt she had been wrong. It seemed people could change at their core, for there was nothing in this incarnation of Leo who sat before her tonight that bore any of the mean little boy.
