Chapter 6 The Testament

• After the incident, Jarl learns from Lizzie that Katrina is already in Alba Noctis Castle. He thought he should go look for her at her friend Amber's apartment, and he was taking his time because he knows he must be careful not to damage his reputation in front of the press. But now that he knows where his wife is, it won't take much effort to convince her to go with him again.
• "Lizzie turned out to not be so shallow after all and she's serving another purpose besides just fucking," he thinks with a malicious smile on his face. The truth is, they've been fucking a lot for the past two years, ever since she first turned and they were in the woods. That's why he likes this type of female, because they serve to pass the time and relieve the stress he carries. Fucking alleviates all his worries.
• "When are you going to break the red string with my sister, Jarl?" says Lizzie, in a rather shrill voice.
• "We'll wait for the right moment," Jarl answers, unconcerned. "You know we must move cautiously."
• "That's all you've been saying for a long time. You promised me you would only be married to her for a month, and look, it's already been months and you haven't resolved anything."
• "Those are my affairs, Lizzie. I have my reasons for staying connected to her. So, if you're already satisfied for today, it's better that you go and fulfill your own duties. I have a lot to deal with on my own."
• Lizzie tries to argue, but Jarl indicates with his hand that she should leave his office.
• With an arrogant smile, he watches her as she puts on her dress and panties before leaving his office, quite upset. Lizzie is a very beautiful female and fucks like a goddess, but as sexy as she is, she's also dumb and stupid.
• Being faithful is not part of Jarl Fenrisson's nature, but he needs Katrina and her blood, at least for the time being. That's the biggest reason that ties him to her.
• When night falls, he takes his car and drives to Alba Noctis Castle. According to his father-in-law, Katrina hasn't left her room all day, and knowing how dramatic she is, she must be drowning in a sea of tears, curled up among blankets, because of what happened.
• Just imagining that he must flatter her to bring her back causes him annoyance, but he has no choice but to play nice, at least for these days.
• Not long after, his car enters the driveway that leads to one of the most luxurious and admired castles in the Amazon.
• One of the omegas responsible for the castle's security comes out to meet him in front of the main door, and he hands him the key to park his luxurious Porsche.
• "Good evening, Mr. Jarl," the butler greets as he opens the door.
• "Good evening, Maximus."
• "Do you want me to announce your arrival to the masters? They are in the office now."
• "No. I'm just here to surprise my wife, whom I had an argument with yesterday."
• "Mrs. Katrina is in her room, sir."
• “Thank you very much, Maximus. I will go look for her.
• Jarl adjusts the sleeves of his gray suit and walks in his usual gallant manner towards the living room, to reach the staircase. He can see Maximus disappearing in the servant's area.
• Just before stepping on the first step, he hears a heated argument between Mauricio and Lorena, coming from the office. Everything indicates that they are talking about Katrina.
• He walks slowly towards them, needing to know what is happening with his wife and these two.
• "I already told you, Lorena! No one will ever find out about the existence of this will. You're exaggerating," says Katrina's father. Jarl furrows his brow, hearing them from the partially open door. "That scoundrel won't do anything."
• What will are they referring to? Who is the man they are talking about?
• "But he has blackmailed you many times, when they were supposed to have reached an agreement, Mauricio. That damn man is playing with you. We must take more drastic measures before he tries to blackmail us again," Lorena is excited and upset.
• Mauricio takes some files from the desk and opens the safe. Luckily for Jarl, he can see exactly the combination he uses to open it from his hiding spot.
• "What excuses will we give to Katrina if that man decides to tell her the whole truth?" adds Lorena, furious. "Will we lose everything because of that useless woman? Our prestige, our power?"
• "Calm down, Katrina will never find out that her mother made another will before she died and left her entire fortune to her."
• Jarl opens his mouth, impressed. So what his father told him on his deathbed was true. Katrina is the true heiress of Alpha Lauren.
• "I have no idea what you're going to do, but that man must shut up once and for all. I'm not going to end up on the streets because of your incompetence."
• Lizzie is coming down the stairs at that moment and notices Jarl standing in front of her father's office door.
• "Jarl!" The man curses in a thousand languages upon hearing her. He turns slowly and pretends he is just arriving. Mauricio and Lorena come out of the office.
• "Good evening, Jarl. Maximus did not inform us of your arrival. How long have you been here?" Mauricio asks, glancing at his wife.
• "I just arrived," he lies. "Maximus told me you were in the office and I was going to look for you to talk about some urgent matters."
• "Will you stay for dinner with us?" Lizzie asks, looking at him with puppy eyes. She practically drools at the sight of him.
• "I would love to, but I have a business dinner in two hours, but maybe I will come back later to speak with my wife," he replies. Lizzie makes a face of annoyance that does not go unnoticed by her father or mother.
• Mauricio leads Jarl into the office and he talks to him about some European investors who intend to invest in Sofisthy. It is a pending issue between them and it is the only reason Jarl found as an excuse to give himself time to think about what he just heard and find a way to take possession of the will.
