Chapter 121
- “Have you calmed down now?” Levian asked softly as he handed Sherry a steaming cup of green tea. Sherry gave a gentle nod in response as she took the cup. “Thank you,” she whispered under her breath. Turning her head, she looked outside the window that was wet as the raindrops continuously hit it, before rolling down and falling on the ground.
- There was silence in the room as Levian continued watching Sherry while leaning against the kitchen countertop. “What are you thinking hmm?” He broke the silence. Sherry shook her head as she hummed in response. However, she was trying to recall the things that had happened just a few hours ago.
- Sherry could not remember for how long she cried in his arms. She did not know how long Levian had stood in the rain as she cried her heart out. She had a fuzzy memory of Levian saying he would take her home, however, she had stubbornly denied and begged him to take her somewhere far away, at least from that town.
