Chapter 3

  • Gael
  • When I couldn't find the little brat anywhere, I started to panic until I found her, but my good mood had disappeared, and I was filled with anger because this brat wanted to escape from me. I took her to the house and laid her on the bed, but before that, I told her to take off her dress. All she did was beg me not to do anything, but in the midst of my anger, I couldn't stop. When she took off her dress, I threw her face down on the bed and took off my belt. I began to give her several lashes, watching as the belt left marks on her skin, even drawing blood. I heard her scream and beg me to stop, but I didn't until I felt her stop protesting and I stopped abruptly.
  • "Tamara?" I shook her, but she didn't respond.
  • "Tamara, get up!" I shouted, but there was no response.
  • Damn, what do I do now? When I saw her bruises, I panicked because I had gone too far. She had several bruises and bloody marks, so I grabbed my phone and called a trusted doctor, my best friend.
  • "Why the hell are you calling at this hour?" Zac asked irritably.
  • "Zac, I need your help, please come to my house quickly."
  • "Is it serious?" he asked, sounding concerned.
  • "Yes," I replied curtly.
  • "I'll be right there."
  • I covered Tamara with a sheet and waited for Zac to arrive. After 20 minutes, someone knocked on the door and I opened it.
  • "I hope it's serious," Zac said irritably, and I led him to the room where Tamara was lying down. When he saw her, he looked at me strangely.
  • "Do you expect me to watch her sleep?" he asked. I turned on the light and saw that the white sheet was now red. Zac's eyes widened in shock.
  • "You killed her," he accused.
  • "What? No!"
  • "No, not like that. I beat her and she's not responding," I explained, and he sighed.
  • "I'll check her." When he removed the sheet and saw her half-naked, I felt jealous but managed to control myself."
  • "For God's sake, Gael, you almost killed the girl. Look at these wounds. What did the girl do to deserve such a beating?"
  • "She tried to leave my side," I sighed as he tended to her wounds.
  • "And that gives you the right to be an animal? For God's sake, Gael, look at these wounds. She'll probably have scars, and every time she sees them, she'll remember you, but not in a good way."
  • "Zac, I'm an idiot. I let anger get the best of me. I didn't listen, I didn't even show any compassion when she was screaming in pain. You're right, I'm an animal. And I... I raped her," I confessed. Zac stopped in his tracks and looked at me with disgust.
  • "You're despicable. Try to fix this. Buy these medicines, clean her wounds every 4 hours to prevent infection, tell her to rest for at least a week, and finally, take her to a gynecologist to be examined. You probably tore her," he instructed. I nodded guiltily and thanked him for coming.
  • "Oh, and Gael, control your temper. The girl is very young, I don't buy that she's 20. Don't give her more traumas than she already has. Treat her well," he added before leaving me alone.
  • The next morning, I heard someone crying, and I knew it was Tamara. I ran to her room and saw her trying to get up. When she saw me, she paled and tried to move faster.
  • "Tamara, wait, you'll hurt yourself," I said, touching her face. I felt anger and hatred towards myself when all I saw in her eyes was panic and fear.
  • "Please don't hurt me anymore, I beg you," she whispered with tears in her eyes.
  • "Hey, calm down, Tamara. I... I'm sorry. I was drunk and filled with anger at the thought of you leaving me. I'm sorry, I don't want you to be afraid of me," I said, touching her again. She tensed up but let out another cry of pain.
  • "It hurts!" she screamed, and my heart broke.
  • "I'll bring you the medicine they sent," I said, going to the kitchen, getting water, and handing her the pill. Within seconds, she fell asleep. What have I done?
  • My phone rang, and I answered immediately.
  • "Hello, Zac."
  • "Hello, Gael, how is the girl doing?"
  • "She woke up in a lot of pain. I had to give her the pill, and she fell asleep."
  • "It's normal to feel that pain after the beatings you gave him," this idiot always knows how to make me feel bad.
  • "Idiot, you always manage to make me feel guilty."
  • "It's because you're to blame, Gael. I don't know what kind of relationship you have with that girl or how you got her, but that's not the way to treat her," he's right.
  • "Tell me how you met Gael," I struggle to tell my friend the truth because I'm sure I'll get a good scolding from him, but he's my friend, how can I not trust him?
  • "I bought her..."
