Chapter 101 Entering The Den

- I went upstairs. I had never been here before. A passageway stretched before me. On one side were the doors, two of them and at the end, the door that probably led to Tristan’s room. I had not heard him come up behind me and I jumped, shivering with the cold and startled as he spoke. His voice was still flat, deadpan as he walked to the door at the end.
- ‘Follow me.’ I went along, silently, trembling with trepidation and the wetness of the clothes. The room I entered was large with windows on three sides. It had an enormous bed in the centre. It was undoubtedly a man’s room, dark drapes and a dark coverlet; a large TV on one wall and a table with two monitors and a laptop.
