Chapter 36 Hidden Away

• Standing in the room I look around worried, I haven’t seen Joel, and I didn’t think about if he was still here hiding.
• But why would he? For all he knows Jasper could come back. I walk in and grab a bottle of water, drinking it before falling asleep on the small sofa. Here I can see the front door and the door to the garage. It makes me feel safer.
• I wake up hearing the door unlock, I watch as it goes to open but the bolt stops it.
